(MINTPRESS) MINNEAPOLIS — As WikiLeaks prepares to publish more of Hillary Clinton’s emails, the organization’s founder, Julian Assange, suggested they show Clinton violated the law.
“We have upcoming leaks in relation to Hillary Clinton,” Assange told Robert Peston, host of the ITV News program “Peston on Sunday” on June 12:

Although it stated that it expects the job market to rebound in 2016 and that US economic performance has strengthened in recent years, the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) indicated following its two-day meeting in Washington that it will not hike interest rates at this time.
Instead, it voiced confidence that interest rates will likely gradually rise but maintained an accommodative stance.

While the CIA have been assisting films such as Scorpio for decades they maintain very few records of their involvement in these productions, making it difficult to know how influential the Agency is in this arena. A different but somewhat fruitful angle of inquiry is in the CIA's records of the media discussion of spy books and films in the form of reports, reviews, ratings and discussions.
The ongoing competition to express the worst possible views – known to many observers simply as the US Presidential Election – escalated this week in the wake of the Orlando tragedy. Donald Trump predictably took an early lead in this episode by saying the following:
Appreciate the congrats for being right on radical Islamic terrorism, I don’t want congrats, I want toughness & vigilance. We must be smart!

We have little time left. Climate change, even if we halt all carbon emissions today, will still bring rising temperatures, havoc, instability and systems collapse to much of the planet.
Let us hope we never have to make the stark choice, as most of the ghetto fighters did, about how we will die. If we fail to act, however, this choice will one day define our future, as it defined theirs.

This is a brief addendum to my post on Monday about the Orlando Massacre narrative: because subsequent oddities and inconsistencies in the story keep cropping up. I finally checked my "blogger" statistics the other day, and apparently this blog has passed the 4 million view mark according to Blogger...I do look at this as a milestone, and yet I find it disturbing that this mark was not passed some months back... I stated in my previous rant that I have suspected that Google and Blogger are manipulating the statistics of some bloggers and not showing the true readership numbers....
Convention wisdom predicted the Orlando terrorist attack would be "good" for Trump, who quickly moved into full demagogue mode-- not much of a change from his default button-- to exploit it.

The US and NATO are pulling out all stops to turn their Syrian quagmire into something resembling their objectives in Syria. While US and UK troops had been setting up base in the north of Syria ostensibly in order to strike ISIS in Raqqa, the Syrian Arab Army has stolen a march on them with air-cover from the RUAF.

Remember that at the time of 9/11 the meme the government wanted to forge was that it was the work of terrorists who were part of an international (dare I say) conspiracy to attack this country and our beloved freedom. No one dared focus solely on airport security or cockpit door reinforcement. No, the message was it’s international and therefore wars with natural resources and asset-rich countries like Iraq and Afghanistan were necessary.

As reactions to the Orlando massacre pour in, every political faction is eager to impose its own narrative on the tragedy: if that seems vulgar, then politics is inherently vulgar, and there’s no way to prettify it.
