That's right readers- the LIMITED search has run it's course and investigators are set to leave as early as tomorrow. The MH-17 investigation seem to be little more then a ruse. A PR show. Or an attempt to gather intel. What it does not appear to be is a thorough investigation.I had previously mentioned the fact that Kiev, rather then call off the fighting in the area, took the opportunity to slaughter civilians and try to take back territory. Odd behaviour for a government that claims to want just such an investigationRefresh your memory...
By Michael Arria | CounterPunch | August 6, 2014 The beef between Kentucky Senator Rand Paul and MSNBC host Rachel Maddow has been going on for four years now. It was famously kicked off during Paul’s Senate campaign when Maddow began grilling him about his position on the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Paul’s strict […]

I finally stopped following the demented Twitter ravings of GOP Hate Talk Radio host Bryan Fischer and… my life is more relaxed and productive without all that satanic hatred and bigotry spewing out of him. One thing about Fischer, though… whatever extremist, anti-social nonsense he's spouting now, will become official Republican Party doctrine in a relatively short time.

Today marks the 69th anniversary of that fateful day in 1945 when the US B29 Stratosphere bomber nicknamed "Enola Gay" opened its bomb doors at approximately 810am in the morning from some 35000 feet altitude above the peaceful and non-military city of Hiroshima, Japan. At that point, an elongated Uranium powered nuclear explosive device known as "Little Boy" fell from the aircraft and begun its approximately 4 and 1/2 minute fall to the ground below. At almost exactly 815 am, Japan time, the device exploded in the atmosphere just above Hiroshima in a fireball measuring some 300 yards a

I had to take yesterday off to take care of family and personal business... But it was an interesting day indeed, for it seems that the latest "ceasefire" by the criminal Israelis against the innocent people of Gaza seems to actually be holding, at least for the moment... That and the psychotic Israeli government did announce that it had pulled its murdering army out of the strip itself...
By Roqayah Chamseddine | Al-Akhbar | August 6, 2014 As Israel withdraws its ground forces from Gaza “to defensive positions” outside the Gaza Strip there are already obscene calls for Israel to re-engage so that Israel may “finish the job” and “go all the way” by demilitarizing Gaza, purging the 360 sq. km strip of […]

Six years ago, then Oregon House Speaker Jeff Merkley was one of Blue America's top Senate priorities-- and, more than most, he has completely lived up to our hopes… and then some. Merkley immediately became one of the progressive leaders in the Senate who knows how to get things done. So when his campaign told us they were doing a money bomb this week, no one had to ask us twice.

With the mainstream American Jewish leadership firmly in support of the current military operation there is little pressure for the Israeli government to end the carnage–or for the U.S. government to pressure it to do so.
I knew it was coming but I'll still amazed it came. The teabaggers couldn't even save one of their incumbents, Kerry Bentivolio in the suburbs west and northwest of Detroit in Oakland and Wayne counties. Boehner's Chamber of Commerce wing of the party recognized he was weak and they moved in for the kill. But what was so startling was that the Republicans of the district picked this monstrosity to replace him. Watch that video up top made by some Bentivolio supporters. This guy Dave Trott's going to be the worst piece of crap in the whole Congress.

RT | August 6, 2014 The UN has expressed its major concern over the plight of the eastern Ukrainian territories and their soaring numbers of refugees. Short on time today so just this tidbit. I call this stating the obvious. Too late. The masses (95%) have lost one third of their wealth. The upper echelons have increased their wealth substantially in the same period of time. 14% on average. With the 1% benefiting even more! Which makes the case that the elites have indeed vaccumed up the wealth from the lower 99% .Trickle down has always been nonsense.

What’s plainly not needed is that various states take the carnage in Gaza to simply make pronouncements denouncing Israel and the United States for political gain without invoking the legal remedies that are available to them to potentially protect Palestinians in Gaza. Of course, such a course will likely mean serious retribution of some sort from Israel and likely the United States.
Remember the Kosovo war? If you’re under 30, it’s just a blip on the historical screen, one that has far less impact on your consciousness than the subsequent wars of the post-9/11 era – and yet it was an important milestone on the road to where we are today. It was in Kosovo that the […]
Think of it as the true end of the beginning. Last week, Theodore “Dutch” Van Kirk, the final member of the 12-man crew of the Enola Gay, the plane (named after its pilot’s supportive mother) that dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima, died at age 93. When that first A-bomb left its bomb bay at […]
The American foreign policy elite should learn something from the recent humiliating evacuation of the U.S. embassy in Tripoli, Libya – amid the chaos of tribal civil war in that country – but probably won’t. Antiwar Republican Congressman Justin Amash won a very contentious primary challenge from Brian Ellis, who was supported by the GOP establishment for Michigan’s 3rd district. Amash, who was significantly outspent, won with 57% of the vote.
Amash has been a leader of the libertarian caucus of the GOP House members. He has led the fight against NSA surveillance and for protection of privacy. He has fought against US intervention and military aid across the board.
But imagine it quickly but what's left of it is being deconstructed as you read this. Although the American media doesn't cover Japanese politics, we tried warning DWT readers that Japanese voters had decided to get on a neo-fascist path again last year. Much to the delight of U.S.
Battles and airstrikes killed most of the 415 dead today. Few civilians were killed in fighting; however, at least 40 people from Sinjar have died from thirst or starvation while awaiting help. At least 178 were wounded.
