PODGORICA: Montenegro is the number one candidate for membership in NATO, U.S. Sen. Richard Lugar said as he met with Milo Đukanović, the Montenegrin government announced.
According to the statement, Lugar also pointed out that the country’s “leadership role in the Western Balkans is recognized worldwide.” [Population 600,000.]

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is in the United States this week, vowing to expose “the truth” about Iran.
At least 28 people were killed and 98 more were wounded across the country today. Baghdad was again struck with a series of bombings, but so were many other towns across the region.
I haven't forgotten about Syria. Not for one minute. Turkish firm drilling wells on Syria border.... and further into Syria? It seems possible. It seems likely.
