You may recall, that we've been looking at the U.S.-backed coup in Egypt as a replay of the tragic U.S. coup against popular Iranian Prime Minister Mohammed Mossadeq in 1953. Wednesday Rand Paul brought up an amendment recognizing that the military overthrow of Mohammed Morsi was a coup and that, legally, the U.S. had to stop sending aid until democracy is restored.

Almost a week after Google disabled Press TV’s YouTube account, the internet giant has yet to explain why it blocked the alternative TV channel’s access to the video sharing site.
“We have contacted Google several times since last Thursday, when Google prevented us from uploading new videos, but (we) have not received any concrete response as to why they did it,” said Hamid Reza Emadi, Press TV’s newsroom director.

The CIA unmanned aircraft deliberately targeted rescuers attempting to help victims of previous drone strikes in Pakistan’s tribal areas, the Bureau of Investigative Journalism has found.
This CNN report details secret efforts by the CIA to aggressively interrogate and polygraph a number of CIA agents who were on the ground in Libya just prior to the Benghazi attack on September 11, 2012 that got four Americans killed at the consulate building. It even mentions the possibility that covert U.S. forces were on the ground in Libya smuggling out weapons to bring to Turkey and subsequently deliver to Syrian rebels.

NATO helicopter accidentally kills four Afghan soldiers
A NATO helicopter mistakenly attacked the position of Afghan troops, killing at least four Afghan army soldiers, reports Interfax citing the AP on Thursday.
Afghan troops reported an attack after a NATO helicopter gunmen bombarded their checkpoint in Nangarhar province in eastern Afghanistan.
