While Boehner Surrenders To Far Right Extremists Inside The GOP, Greece Arrests Its Fascist Leaders
Obama and Boehner are both victims of the rise of far right populism in the U.S. Boehner, much like the mainstream conservatives in Weimar Germany in the 1930s, has buckled under to it. Obama hasn't. The same exact strain of toxic right-wing populism-- whether you want to call it Tea Party, Nazi, Fascist or Golden Dawn-- has catapulted to the third biggest party in Greece, with 18 Deputies in Parliament.

The Republican Party Is Now Distilled Down To A Ransom Note To America
Suicide bomber vests strapped to their chests, congressional Republicans have a message for the American people: "Give us our way, or we'll blow the whole damn thing up!" And by their way, they're talking about a lot more than defunding the Affordable Care Act. Yesterday, the NY Times Editorial Board was aghast at the Republican demands-- and they called it what it is A Republican Ransom Note.

Join us this week on The Corbett Report as we dissect the latest IPCC hype and examine the organizations processes and conclusions.

New Jersey's Gubernatorial Election Is Just Over A Month Away... And Chris Christie Is Still A Disaster
Let me say that Blue America has enthusiastically endorsed state Senator Barbara Buono for governor of New Jersey. We've seen what a terrible governor Chris Christie has been and what a consistent and independent voice for progressive policies Barbara has been and it was really a no brainer. And we're glad Barbara has put his polling lead in half.

Old Dog, Old Trick: US, Saudis, Qatar Attempt "Arab Spring" Retread in Sudan
Protests are smokescreen for unfolding US-Saudi-Qatari backed violence seeking regime change in Sudan. September 28, 2013 (Tony Cartalucci) - The Associated Press reveals that recent and ongoing "Arab Spring-style" unrest in Sudan's capital of Khartoum is led by Sudan's Western-backed opposition, the National Umma Party, and the various faux-NGO's and "independent media" organizations created by the West to prop it up. This reveals yet another Western-engineered uprising designed for regime change in favor of a new, Western friendly client regime.

McCain Hires Disgraced Syria ‘Expert’ Elizabeth O’Bagy
People involved in politics almost invariably engage in confirmation bias. It’s easy to welcome ideas that bolster what you already believe, than to deal with facts and evidence that seem to puncture your own opinions.
If there are two seasoned politicians in Washington, surely they are John Kerry and John McCain. So we’d expect them to be confirmation bias professionals. And that’s exactly what they were doing when they were citing Elizabeth O’Bagy, an alleged “expert” at the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), to elucidate the make-up of the Syrian rebels. -

Despite Hawks’ Claim of Greatest Threat, Iran is Very Weak
The diplomacy with Iran is proceeding slowly in the days following the almost-handshake at the UN earlier this week. While skepticism is warranted, as I’ve written, there is a chorus of right-wing fear-mongers really upset about the prospect of detente with Iran.

How Will Rand Paul Explain His Deranged Opposition To Obamacare In 2016?
Martin County won't care... They love Rand Paul there anywayRepublicans just can't help themselves when it comes to their latest bout of nihilism-- the fake battle to "defund" the Affordable Care Act and deny health insurance to millions of Americans. The Surge Didn’t Work, Or How Can We Continue to Ignore Iraq?
Children tend to have a tough time focusing on too many ideas at once. The same goes for adults who have the brain capacity of children.
Syria stories obviously soared in the media over the past month, and rightly so given that the Obama administration was going drag the U.S. into another unnecessary war based on false pretenses. Iran, too, has shot up in the body of international stories the U.S. media is covering, given new developments towards a possible diplomatic settlement to long simmering tensions. And again, rightly so.
