In an unprecedented article published in Al Shorouk newspaper on 19 October, the prominent Egyptian-American academic, Amr Hamzawy, berated Egypt’s left-wingers and liberals for their support of the 3 July coup. He said that ever since the coup at the beginning of July, democrats in Egypt have had time to sort the wheat from the chaff.
Recently, I was asked to look at some articles that claim that the Fukushima nuclear disaster was a "hoax". I indeed spent some time looking over the material, and although it did some some very interesting points and some factual evidence that backs the claim that there was no disaster at Fukushima, Japan, I was not sold.... I have seen the reports and photos of all the damage to the west coast of the United States and Canada, and of course all the reports about marine life dying in the north Pacific due to radiation exposure....

Laura Trickle is fighting a charge of contempt of court all because she breastfeeds and couldn’t leave her son behind to serve jury duty.

NATO to help set up new Libyan military

KAISERSLAUTERN, Germany: NATO said on Monday it would help Libya rebuild a functioning military amid warnings about worsening turmoil in the country.
The United Nations General Assembly just released the latest Report of the Special Rapporteur on extrajudicial, summary or arbitrary executions. France has called for an explanation for the “unacceptable” and “shocking” reports of NSA spying on French citizens. Leaked documents revealed the spy agency records millions of phone calls and monitors politicians and high-profile business people.
The US Ambassador to France Charles Rivkin was summoned by the French Foreign Ministry to account for the espionage allegations on Monday morning.
