War for the Planet of the Apes is Scientific Fact – Jay Dyer

We often think of the Darwinian mythos as coming to us packaged in the form of “science,” science classes, public education, television “documentaries,” so on and so on.  For the masses, however, I argued the most effective forms of indoctrination into the Darwinian mythos come through public schooling and Hollywood.  Almost the entire spectrum of science fiction has been based on Darwin, with some rare exceptions.   The irony here is palpable: the most prevalent basis for why most people believe Darwinism is de fide dogma to be true are not “facts” and sound reasoning, but propaganda and fictional tales.
This betrays a funny thing about how worldviews are formed and function – from our earliest years these myths and tales fed to us from elementary school and Hollywood form the underlying presupposition or operating system (to use the computer analogy), and as we mature, supposed scientific facts are read – are interpreted – to bolster, confirm and “prove” (so most assume) the completely mythological and fantastical tales of what monkeys did 11 million years ago, when they became erect, when they hung from trees and even the date for when they began to walk more erect in the form of Captain Caveman.  Didn’t you know which millionth year that was?
Of course, the more one becomes acquainted with sound philosophy, reasoning, metaphysics and biblical theology, the more laughable and preposterous these tales become – far more ridiculous than anything these people think is found in the Bible.   While viewing the newest installment of the remake of the rehash of Planet of the Apes, I was struck by how absurd it is that once again Hollywood portrays the evil white patriarchal male “Christian” civilization as preposterous and absurd, while simultaneously the film makes use of countless biblical symbols, patterns, motifs, types and stories!  So which is it?  Is the Bible a stupid collection of fables from ignorant ancient Near Eastern rubes, or is it full of archetypal wisdom and recurring historical patterns of redemption?  Oddly, War for the Planet of the Apes presents just such a bizarre inversion and contradiction.

An inversion insofar as the film’s protagonist ape Caesar embarks on an assassination mission against a mad Colonel McCullough (Woody Harrelson), a fanatical “Christian” who dons his cross, crucifies apes and brands his army with the Alpha & Omega symbols.  But it gets worse – western white men are even more wicked because of Christian theology, which in the filmmakers minds’ is somehow the source of genocide, slave camps, torture and the rape and destruction of Mother Earth and her loving creatures.  Just as sci-fi films humanize the bots and roboticize humans, so Planet of the Apes dehumanizes humans and humanizes the apes, who, aside from a disabled young girl (no men are good) are the only redeemable human characters.
Thus, the film supports many objectives at once: Orthodox theology is maligned into an absurd psychodrama where the mad Colonel (representing a God the Father archetype) goes insane and becomes convinced he must “kill his own son to save the world,” due to a virus that has spread making humans dumb, speechless and beast-like.  The Christian imagery is obvious, as Caesar comes close to death while cruciform after sacrificially offering himself for his apes.  Following this, explicit Exodus imagery emerges as the Ape Revolution successfully overcomes imprisonment and while fleeing their warring captors, the entire human armies at war are engulfed in a hellish avalanche that hearkens to Pharaoh’s chariots being drowned in the Red Sea.

This confused mishmash of biblical imagery with the Darwinian mythos is a perfect example, however, of the folly and irrationality of those who tout the primacy of “logic,” “science,” and “reason,” and the dogma of Darwin, while simultaneously failing to see their own mythological presentations – which are explicitly anti-human – are thus irrational, futile and an amazing specimen of doublethink.  Doublethink and its corollary, the double bind, are the foundation of both mind control and social engineering, summed up perfectly in the ability to convince a man to hold two contradictory propositions simultaneously.  Man is but a beast, but beasts are somehow “better” than man.
As I watched War for the Planet of the Apes, that is all I could see – doublethinky doublebinds: man is a being worth saving, but man has not worth because he is a plague on the earth, males are bad, but woman is the only potential good, primitivism and archaic cultures are more ‘enlightened’ and in tune with ‘nature,’ but Nature is a predatory force of survival of the fittest, which makes primitivism as more ‘enlightened’ meaningless, and lastly, the Bible is a ridiculous tool of oppression by whitey, but here are a bunch of biblical images and motifs that make you feel good about the Apes.
“God is found by those who believe Him….Dishonest reasoning separates man from God.” -Wisdom 1:2-3

As I watched the film I was also reminded of the meaningless futility and nihilism that results from the worldview of death (we’ll call it), thinking of the deuterocanonical Wisdom of Solomon.  In chapter 1 the author sets out the important point that all attempts at reasoning about man’s life and being outside divine revelation are futile and end up in the spiritually imprisoning box of materialism, relativism and the doublethink I mentioned above.  Amazingly, it was no different in the B.C. period of the author of the Wisdom of Solomon than it is nowadays, as the foolishness of the world’s ways and (fallacious) reasoning are made manifest.  Wisdom 2 comments on just this scenario of materialism and nihilism, and the making of man into an Ape, a beast, with no hope of resurrection:
“1For the ungodly said, reasoning with themselves, but not aright, Our life is short and tedious, and in the death of a man there is no remedy: neither was there any man known to have returned from the grave.
2 For we are born at all adventure: and we shall be hereafter as though we had never been: for the breath in our nostrils is as smoke, and a little spark in the moving of our heart:
3 Which being extinguished, our body shall be turned into ashes, and our spirit shall vanish as the soft air,
4 And our name shall be forgotten in time, and no man shall have our works in remembrance, and our life shall pass away as the trace of a cloud, and shall be dispersed as a mist, that is driven away with the beams of the sun, and overcome with the heat thereof.
5 For our time is a very shadow that passeth away; and after our end there is no returning: for it is fast sealed, so that no man cometh again.
6 Come on therefore, let us enjoy the good things that are present: and let us speedily use the creatures like as in youth.
7 Let us fill ourselves with costly wine and ointments: and let no flower of the spring pass by us:
8 Let us crown ourselves with rosebuds, before they be withered:
9 Let none of us go without his part of our voluptuousness: let us leave tokens of our joyfulness in every place: for this is our portion, and our lot is this.
10 Let us oppress the poor righteous man, let us not spare the widow, nor reverence the ancient gray hairs of the aged.
11 Let our strength be the law of justice: for that which is feeble is found to be nothing worth.”
Protestants should take note, by the way, as this section is what St. Paul is referencing in Romans 1:18-32 when he describes fallen man universally turning to idolatry and the worship of the creature, rather than the Creator.  Darwinism is the ultimate example of this absurdity, with many of the “New Atheists” even admitting their views are not strictly atheistic, but pantheistic.  Indeed, anything and everything is allowable – no matter how irrational, mythological, nonsensical and contradictory, but the actual theology presented in the Scriptures.  Yet the sad end of man’s vain fervor to destroy divine truth only results in a covenant with death, which is the ultimate cosmic deception:
The covenant with death.
“Ungodly men with their works and words called death unto themselves: for when they thought to have it their friend, they consumed to nought, and made a covenant with it, because they are worthy to take part with it.” -Wisdom 1:16
Thus, men do not believe Darwinism because it is a coherent presentation about man’s origins and the true gnostic secret of biology.  Men believe it because they are told to believe it, by design, and because they want to believe it – because men are fallen and worship and serve the creation rather than the Creator.  In this regard, we can say War for the Planet of Apes is a perfect description of the history of fallen man and his vain attempts to find meaning and solace in his empty ego, finitude and decay.  War for the Planet of the Apes is therefore a 100% documentary presentation of scientific, proven fact, for it is just as logical and coherent as the rest of the Darwinian mythos.  If men would heed the call of Wisdom, which is the Divine Logos of God, they would see the Book of Wisdom chapter 2 predicted Wisdom Incarnate before Christ came, in the prophecy of the crucifixion of Christ:
“1 Therefore let us lie in wait for the righteous; because he is not for our turn, and he is clean contrary to our doings: he upbraideth us with our offending the law, and objecteth to our infamy the transgressings of our education.
13 He professeth to have the knowledge of God: and he calleth himself the Son of God.
14 He was made to reprove our thoughts.
15 He is grievous unto us even to behold: for his life is not like other men’s, his ways are of another fashion.
16 We are esteemed of him as counterfeits: he abstaineth from our ways as from filthiness: he pronounceth the end of the just to be blessed, and maketh his boast that God is his father.
17 Let us see if his words be true: and let us prove what shall happen in the end of him.
18 For if the just man be the son of God, he will help him, and deliver him from the hand of his enemies.
19 Let us examine him with despitefulness and torture, that we may know his meekness, and prove his patience.
20 Let us condemn him with a shameful death: for by his own saying he shall be respected.
21 Such things they did imagine, and were deceived: for their own wickedness hath blinded them.
22 As for the mysteries of God, they knew them not: neither hoped they for the wages of righteousness, nor discerned a reward for blameless souls.
23 For God created man to be immortal, and made him to be an image of his own eternity.
24 Nevertheless through envy of the devil came death into the world: and they that do hold of his side do find it.”
