The Syrian Armed forces have seized chemicals and weapons from insurgents in Damascus. The operation followed an operation last week, where Syrian armed forces seized 281 barrels with chemicals from foreign-backed insurgents, reportedly enough to destroy an entire city, if not the entire country.
The discovery and seizure of the chemicals and weapons from the insurgents follows intelligence reports, stating that the international anti-Syrian alliance as well as the political and militant Syrian, foreign-backed opposition plan a major military campaign in August and September, where chemical weapons are planned to be used for justifying calls for a foreign, “military intervention” in Syria.
The Syrian Arab News Agency SANA reports, that armed forces have discovered a factory for the manufacturing of chemical weapons in a terrorist hideout in the area surrounding the al-Manashir roundabout in Joubar, in the countryside near Damascus.
SANA reports, that an official source has told SANA, that the army has seized amounts of toxic chemical materials, in addition to chlorine substances in containers. SANA reports that the chemicals are foreign-made, and that some of the chemicals are from Saudi-Arabia. The official source added, that the army also seized weapons as well as scores of mortar shells which had been prepared to be filled with chemical materials.
The Syrian Arab Army seized 281 barrels with chemicals from insurgents at a farm in Banias, Tartus.
Last week, the Syrian armed forces seized a large amount of weapons, computers, communications equipment, and a large stockpile of chemicals, after a gunfight with insurgents on a farm in Banias, Tartus, near the Mediterranean coast.
According to official Syrian government sources, the armed forces seized 79 barrels of Polyethylene Glycol, 67 barrels of Monoethylene Glocol, 25 barrels of Monoethanolamine, 68 barrels of Diethanolamine, and 42 barrels of Triethanolamine at the farm in Banias. After the army seized the chemical stockpile from the insurgents, the Syrian Ambassador to the United Nations, Bashar Ja´afari said:
“The Syrian authorities have discovered yesterday, in the city of banias, 281 barrels filled with dangerous, hazardous chemical materials, capable of destroying a whole city, if not the whole country”.
The seizure of chemicals from the foreign-backed insurgents came after intelligence reports indicated that a new major campaign against Syria is planned to take place in August and September. The Palestinian intelligence source reported to nsnbc international, that the election of the Saudi Arabia backed Ahmed Assi Jaber as head of the political opposition, as well as the relative military calm in July, were part of the preparations for the campaign. Insurgents, so the intelligence source, were busy establishing arms caches throughout the country. The major military campaign in August and September, and the use of chemical weapons during the campaign, should the be used as a pretext for renewed calls for a no-fly-zone, humanitarian corridors and a foreign military intervention in Syria.

Reports about new Israeli Air Raid likely a Distraction from Chemical Weapons Seizure. Today, nsnbc international received information from nsnbc´s Palestinian correspondent, who has close ties to the intelligence service of a Syria based, Palestinian organization.
The source informed nsnbc, that statements, made by U.S. officials, to the effect that a recent set of explosions in Latakhia harbor were caused by an Israeli air raid, most likely was willfully planted disinformation.
The purpose of planting such information, so the intelligence source, was to distract attention from the chemical weapons scandal, and to focus the attention of international media on “Russian anti-ship missiles” in Syria. The correspondent said:
“While one chemical weapons scandal after the other in Syria, and the foreign politicians, intelligence services and military officers behind it should be investigated, the entire world is discussing legitimately delivered Russian anti-ship missiles. The talk about the Israeli Air Raid is a typical Mossad disinformation campaign. International media are sent on a wild goose chase while the war criminals are laughing”.
The validity of the information is corroborated by the fact that the Syrian government states that it will neither confirm nor deny such statements, and due to reports from the Iranian news agency Al-Alam and other well informed media with reporters on the ground in Syria rejects such claims as false.
The Syrian government, supported by Russia continuously reiterates the demand, that each and every incident that involves chemical weapons or chemicals for the manufacturing of weapons must be investigated by an independent expert commission. With regard to the latest incident, the seizure of chemicals and weapons near Damascus, today, one obvious question that warrants an in depth inquiry is “how do Saudi-Arabian chemicals make their way into the hands of foreign-backed insurgents near Damascus”.

Although the Video is in Arabic, it is obvious that the chemicals originated from Saudi Arabia, which is a sponsor of terrorism in the Syrian conflict
