The Weekly Standard is a neo-con Republican publication founded by News Corp (Rupert Murdoch) in 1995. Many of their top writers are conservative ant-Trumpers. I'll bet some of them were watching Trump's favorite TV show Wednesday morning, Fox and Friends, when Brian Kilmeade explained how Omarosa "out-smarted" the obsessed Trump. Remember, while normal heads of state are dealing with issues of war and peace and issues impacting the lives of their countrymen, Trump is fighting childish twitter wars with random imbeciles like himself.

It's incumbent on journalists to never give up on pointing out that Trump never opens his mouth without lying and attempting to manipulate the public. Most Americans know he's a liar; a recent poll found that only 13% of Americans consider Señor Trumpanzee honest and trustworthy. And yet... his job approval rating has crept back up into the 40s.

Steve Vladeck, Benjamin Wittes of Lawfare looked into the reality of Mueller being able to subpoena Señor Trumpanzee since it doesn't look like he's going to come voluntarily. This is, clearly, a fully criminalized presidency-- a kakistocracy that doesn't buy into the idea that no man is above the law.

Some congressional candidates campaign explicitly on impeaching Trump. The DCCC advises against that. Kaniela Ing, for example, warns Democrats at the top of his issues page that "It's not enough to simply resist Donald Trump. People are struggling and feeling left behind.

Today Tom Steyer started running his new Impeach Trump minute-long TV ad. It's good one, based on Putin-Gate. He debuted it at the California Democratic Convention in San Diego yesterday. Guess what... people loved it. "We need to stand for our principles," he said on the convention floor, "that means confronting the man who has no principles: Donald Trump." You know who agrees? Eminem... who was interviewed by Elton John in the new issue of Interview magazine.
