Yah, last week was hot. That said it’s July so heat is what should be expected. Years ago it used to be hotter for longer periods of times. Hubby and I have had a veggie garden for 26 years now. We used to plant cool weather veggies earlier (April)- but for the past several years it’s been to cool to do that- Soil to cold and wet.

It's so "Hot" We're IN the Midst of an Ice Storm- Day 2

Yup, April 15/2018. And there is TWO inches or 5 centimetres + of ice/slush/snow on the ground as the "winter" storm, that's still hitting us, continues. Oh and it's a month into spring. Temperatures are well below seasonal  norms. We've had maybe one or two days of 'seasonal' temps. That's it. Next month starts traditional gardening season...

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas.... in April

Yes it is! We awoke, this morning, April 6/2018 to a snowfall. At nearly 11:00 am, it's continuing to snow- Temps are hovering right at freezing 0 Celsius or 32 Fahrenheit. Seasonal norms are 52 F or  11-12 Celsius. March came in like a lion and left like a lion. April snow may yet bring May flowers? But, baby, it's cold outside!Independent
