If The DCCC Manages To Lose CA-10 Again, Should That Trigger Capital Punishment For The Incompetent Committee?

A staffer at the DCCC called me the other day out of the blue-- me... who usually has some pretty unkind words for the committee-- and asked me if I knew anyone who wanted to run against Jeff Denham in CA-10, a district at the northern end of the Central Valley that includes Modesto, Turlock, Manteca, Ripon and Tracy. It's a nice blue district east of San Francisco, Oakland and San Jose. Obama beat McCain there 50-48% and beat Romney 51-47%. Even Hillary won, albeit without a majority: 48.5% to 45.5%.

The Most Controversial DNA Test You’ve Never Heard Of

(ANTIMEDIA) A vote on whether to approve a proposal that would allow familial DNA searching in certain criminal cases has been delayed by New York state’s Forensic Science Committee. The controversial proposal has been sent back to a special subcommittee to “tighten up the language.” If approved, the new policy would allow police to investigate family members of New Yorkers whose DNA closely matches DNA found at crime scenes.

California Shaping Up To Be An Elephant's Grave Yard In The 2018 Midterms

The biggest Democratic delegation in Congress is, by far, from California. Of California's 53 House members, 39 are Democrats. Only 14 are Republicans and it's realistic to imagine that 14 being cut in half in the 2018 midterm cycle. Yesterday's L.A. Times noted without flinching that last month’s state registration report reveals an accelerated erosion of Republican strength.

WATCH: Dash Cam Shows Man was not Jaywalking when Beaten by Sacramento Cop

Sacramento police released the dash cam video showing the cop stop a man for jaywalking, then proceeding to choke and beat him when the man did not lie flat on the ground to receive his summons.
Or maybe the cop planned to jail him for jaywalking.
Or more likely, the cop just planned to arrest him for the timeworn crime of Walking While Black.

Should it be easier to remove a US President from office?

Unlike in Parliamentary systems where often all that is needed to remove a government is a simple majority, removing a US President can only be done when the President is found guilty by the Senate of a crime for which the House of Representatives passed an Impeachment.
Only two US Presidents have ever been impeached, Andrew Johnson in 1868 and Bill Clinton 1998. Neither were convicted by the Senate and hence neither were removed from office.

WATCH: California Cop Chokes, Beats Man for Jaywalking

A California cop choked and beat a man for jaywalking Monday in an incident captured on video that is now going viral.
The video was recorded by a woman named Naomi Montaie, who was sitting in her car as the altercation unfolded in front of her, showing a Sacramento police officer grabbing the young man by the neck while shoving him down on the street.
The Sacramento cop then sits on top of the man while throwing several punches to his face.

Will Congressional Republicans Pay The Ultimate Price For Trying To Destroy The Healthcare System?

A couple of weeks ago an ad hoc group-- Save My Care- ran a powerful ad against vulnerable Nevada Republican Senator Dean Heller, who is up for reelection in 2018 and is the most likely GOP senator to lose his seat. Heller thanked his lucky stars that he didn't have to go on the record one way or the other in regard to Ryan's botched and failed TrumpCare bill which never made it onto the floor of the House, let alone to the Senate. The 30-second spot (above) ran and certainly had its impact.
