Even most of the Trump-haters stayed away from this one. On the day that President Trump had announced for his “Fake News Awards” program, Arizona Senator Jeff Flake took to the Senate Floor to lambaste the president for his strong remarks against the mainstream media.

U.S. President Donald J. Trump announced his own “Fake News Awards” for 2017 on Wednesday via the Republican National Committee’s website, gop.com, and received the expected lukewarm reception from mainstream media outlets.
Late last week, Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, repeated his public observations that members of the intelligence community – particularly the CIA, the NSA and the intelligence division of the FBI – are not trustworthy with the nation’s intelligence secrets. Because he has a security clearance at … Continue reading "Did Donald Trump Change His Mind on Domestic Spying?"
The United States cannot be a moral or ethical country until it faces up to the realities of US empire and the destruction it causes around the world. The US undermines governments (including democracies), kills millions of people, causes mass migrations of people fleeing their homes, communities and countries and produces vast environmental damage. A … Continue reading "No Foreign Bases: Challenging the Footprint of US Empire"

Last year CA-26-- a Southern California congressional district that includes Thousand Oaks and Westlake Village at the upper end of the San Fernando Valley plus most of Ventura County, including a bit of Simi Valley, plus Moorpark, Camarillo, Santa Paula, Oxnard and Fillmore-- gave Hillary a landslide victory over Trumpanzee: 57.9% to 36.0%. Obama had beaten McCain there, 56-41% and beaten Romney 54-44%. The PVI went from D+4 in 2015 to D+7 after the election. The district has a lousy congresswoman, pointless New Dem careerist Julia Brownley.

If more congressional candidates did this, many of the country's problems would vanishI was listening to NPR yesterday on a long drive and they were interviewing two dullard Beltway operatives, a dumb Dem and an even dumber Republican. The dumb Dem, when asked about Net Neutrality's salience as an issue said no one cared much about it. And the dumber Republican went one further to say no one even knows what it is.
The degenerate, sterile West is falling to Islam by design. The globalist plan, as mentioned by many of their top “leftists” like Bertrand Russell, has been to depopulate and alter the demographics drastically in order to bring about a genuinely technocratic global world order. Far from the problem of the West being “idiot” liberals and moron SJWs, the real strategists are anything but, and know good and well liberalism and Islam are both tools on the global chessboard.
By Martha Rosenberg | CounterPunch | January 17, 2018 Do you overeat? Did your boyfriend just break up with you? Does no one return your emails? RT | January 17, 2018 The joint US-Canada summit is just a “heavy-handed attempt” to undermine the decisions of the UNSC, Russia’s Foreign Ministry has said. It added that the meeting failed to provide an alternative to the Russian-Chinese initiative. Participants at the Vancouver summit failed to provide any alternative to the existing Chinese-Russian roadmap […]
Press TV – January 17, 2018 The United States has withheld tens of millions of dollars in money for a United Nations agency tasked with providing services for Palestinian refugees. The administration of US President Donald Trump held back 65 million dollars of a planned 125-million-dollar funding installment meant for the United Nations Relief and […]

Israel’s wall, on confiscated Palestinian land, has blocked travel to and from Palestinian cities, towns and villages in the West Bank for over 15 years. Another barrier, similarly manned by Israeli soldiers, has blocked travel to and from Gaza for almost a quarter of a century. If Americans Knew | January 17, 2018 The Israeli […]
By Stuart Littlewood | American Herald Tribune | January 17, 2018 Face the truth: Israel won’t willingly return the lands and resources it has stolen unless slapped with tough, sustained sanctions. Civil society in the US and UK must end the conspiracy among their warped government ‘élites’ that makes a mockery of international law. It […]

The Republican Supreme Court Gave Us The Police State
Paul Craig Roberts
When the US Supreme Court consisted of civil libertarians such as William Douglas, William Brennan, and Thurgood Marshall, Republicans argued that the Supreme Court was coddling criminals and inventing rights. To prevent legislation from the bench, it was necessary, Republicans said, to elect Republican presidents who would appoint a different court that would respect the Constitution.
In November 2017, FEE president Lawrence Reed spoke to nearly a thousand students and faculty on the campus of Mackenzie Presbyterian University in Sao Paulo, Brazil. His visit was sponsored by the University’s Center for Economic Freedom. One of Brazil’s largest newspapers, Folha de S. Paulo, published a substantial interview with him. And now this 20-minute video interview with Reed has been made available by UM Brasil, a major multimedia platform in Brazil for debates, documentaries, and interviews.
While ISIS has been defeated in Syria, the US military has no plans to leave the country. In fact, the Pentagon is building new, permanent military bases on Syrian soil. But the Syrians don’t want American troops on their soil and it’s pretty illegal to put your troops into another country without permission. So why stay? To “counter Iranian influence in the region.” But how did Iran get so much influence in the region? The US invasion of Iraq and the US destabilization of Syria were a shot in the arm to Iran’s influence in the region.
By Finian CUNNINGHAM | Strategic Culture Foundation | 17.01.2018 The audacious multiple-drone attack on Russia’s military bases in Syria is increasingly looking like a false flag carried out by the American Central Intelligence Agency. Sophisticated technology and a Ukrainian connection indicate that the swarm attack with 13 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) was not the work […]

Justice Sotomayor contended that exercises of certain liberties do not extend into commerce. She explained that once someone enters commerce, the right to refuse services is subject to oversight by the government. Or in other words, once you enter into commerce your rights to association, speech, and exercise of religion among others take a back seat to the interests of the state.
By Gareth Porter | Dissident Voice | January 16, 2018 With his recent “my (nuclear) button is bigger than yours” taunt, Donald Trump’s rhetoric has fully descended into school yard braggadocio, with North Korea’s Kim Jong-un as a convenient foil. But his administration’s overwhelming reliance on military and economic pressure rather than on negotiations to […]
Spiritualizing political ideologies produces what we might call a “politics of abstraction” in which adherents join an ideological tribe and defend its tenets with an inflexibility that the tribe’s members regard as virtuous. Members of factions experience a good deal of fortification from the “unanimity of sentiment” but they are then disproportionately “shocked and disturbed” when they encounter any opposition to their ideological views.
Privacy: In the analog world of our parents, leaks to the press were heavily protected in both ends – both for the leaker and for the reporter receiving the leak. In the digital world of our children, this has been unceremoniously thrown out the window while discussing something unrelated entirely. Why aren’t our digital children afforded the same checks and balances?
There are plenty of ways in which teacher unions harm students and teachers. From forcing the firing of young, keen teachers (to enable the retention of older, burnt-out teachers) to maintaining “rubber rooms” where teachers are paid not to teach, teacher unions ensure the misallocation of funds meant to improve the educational attainment and skills of young people.
I have been watching over these last few weeks as the Jew spew media up here in central Canada has been pumping out report after report about this Influenza outbreak that some are labeling as an "epidemic"...Being the pessimist that I usually am, I have been wondering if we are getting the real truth or if all of the propaganda from the Jew spew media is just a bunch of fear mongering to get gullible people to rush out to get their "approved" flu shots....Well, lo and behold but several other writers in the real truth movement are on the same page as myself in calling this "epidemic" nothin
Investigative reporters Wayne Madsen and Andrew Kreig join me today to discuss their recent investigation into Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein’s 1994 rape of a 12 year old girl name “Maria.” We begin by talking about the tip that led them to look into this case. We then look into Maria’s hometown of Waterbury, Connecticut and the circumstances surrounding her abduction outside of Nash’s Pizzeria. Wayne and Andrew discuss Waterbury’s history of covering up sexual abuse scandals.
The rice exposed to affectionate human intentions became only slightly discolored with age, while the jar of rice treated with threatening intentions became filled with mold, condensation, and rot. Rice that was completely ignored responded with modest condensation and small spots of mold. Unless there is fraud in this experiment, it indicates that emotions and intent can have a much stronger impact on living things, including us and those around us, than ever imagined possible. [...]
A disturbing video shows thousands (literally) of tents and shacks where homeless people are living along the Santa Ana River Trail in Orange County, an upscale area in California. More than 25% of the nation's homeless population now lives in California. Most sleep on the streets, under bridges, and tucked away in fields and parks. This video will haunt you. [...]
Attorney General Jeff Sessions sent the country into a tizzy not long ago, when he declared that the federal government would start cracking down on state-legal marijuana. This is problematic, but it's a symptom of a larger problem. Article I, Section 8, of the US Constitution lists the things that the federal government may concern itself with. Marijuana — indeed, any drug — is not on that list. In fact, a great many things that the federal government concerns itself with are not on that list.
California has the highest poverty rate in the US, based on the cost of housing, food, utilities, and clothing. With 12% of the American population, California is home to about one in four of the nation’s welfare recipients. The welfare state, supported by a massive bureaucracy of 883,000 full-time state and local employees, is incentivized to expand its 'customer' base by bringing in more and more welfare recipients, which includes illegal aliens. In short, California is the poverty capital of America because it is ruled by collectivists.
University of North Carolina anthropology professor, Dwayne Dixon, admitted chasing chasing James Alex Fields, Jr. with a rifle, causing Fields to drive into a crowd of other Antifa and Black Lives Matter protesters, resulting in one death and dozens of injuries. The media was quick to brand Field’s actions as terrorism but, according to authorities, Fields expressed remorse and shock after the incident, asking “Are they okay?”, suggesting the tragedy was not intended but a result of fleeing from Professor Dixon and his rifle.
Press TV – January 17, 2018 Iran has categorically dismissed a claim by The Financial Times that it accepted to enter negotiations over its national missile program as well as its regional role during a recent meeting over the 2015 nuclear deal in Brussels. Citing the German Foreign Ministry, the paper reported on Tuesday that […]
Twitter suspended the account of Congressional candidate, Chris DePizzo, after he tweeted that his Democrat rival was a “liberal media darling” who ignores the concerns of his own district. He also said that his opponent's donors in California and New York were more important to him than his constituents. Clearly, Twitter is no longer just a provider of a channel of communications, it has assumed the role of censor as well - and an extremely biased one at that. [...]
Google and Facebook have become a duopoly, capturing 84% of digital revenue worldwide, excluding China. That adds up to 30% of all revenue on the entire planet. The companies have a strong left-collectivist bias and are weaponizing their ideology. Tucker Carlson says the companies are even more powerful than governments.
Collective narcissists believe that their group’s importance and worth are not sufficiently recognized by others. They feel that their group merits special treatment, and insist that it gets the recognition and respect it deserves. In other words, collective narcissism amounts to a belief in the exaggerated greatness of one’s group and demands external validation.
