Council: Monsanto’s Chemicals are in ‘Same Group as STDs Like HIV’

While Monsanto pleads to have the recent cancer classification of glyphosate retracted, the public is getting a glimpse of the emperor with no clothes. The recent classification of the GMO herbicide ingredient glyphosate as a 2B carcinogen by the World Health Organization now designates it in a class directly alongside the sexually transmitted, cancer causing human papillomavirus (HPV) as well as the Human Immunodeficiency virus (HIV.)
Why is there an aggressive push to vaccinate all children (and adults) against HPV due to its dangers when we continue to spray our food with glyphosate – an apparent equal to HPV which vaccines are trying to protect against? The integrity and trust of government regulatory agencies, the entire medical community, and common sense will be lost with each continued day of glyphosate spraying on our food.
Logic would dictate that, if these ‘possible carcinogens’ traded places, having a public being inoculated with the live, full strength HPV and HIV virus everyday would not be ethical in the eyes of medicine, human rights, and society. So what’s with the continuous glyphosate exposure now that this information is public?
Interestingly enough, in the case of HPV, this sexually transmitted virus is thought to be so deadly that Texas Republican Gov. Rick Perry acted outside law by using an executive order that bypassed the legislature in 2007 to make Texas the first state to mandate all schoolgirls get vaccinated against the virus. Governor Perry’s mandate forced girls entering the sixth grade to take Gardasil, Merck & Co.’s vaccine against strains of human papillomavirus.
Where’s the urgency in government or by individual state governors immediately stepping in by introducing mandates to ban the use of glyphosate in their respective states? Certainty this requires just as bold of an action after the release of glyphosate’s new classification. However, unlike the toxic side effects inherent in the Gardasil vaccine, simply halting pesticides would have little to no downside to the public.
In late 2014, the precedent was set by the people of Maui when they passed a ballot measure temporarily blocking Monsanto and Dow from continuing their toxic GMO and pesticide, open-air experiments. With GMO labelling laws proposed in 30 states to date, it seems like the move to label cancer causing environmental toxins is the right step – though maybe not one that reaches far enough.
Maui’s historic ballot measure to block the open air experiments appears to be the logical step since there is no possible way to reverse these toxins once they are let loose. As more studies and research prove the damage GMOs and their associated chemicals are causing to our planet and its people, do corporate rights still apply for the perpetrators? It’s interesting to witness the compartmentalized climate change players show little support to stop these companies and their chemicals.
