Ukraine Fighting Prompts U.S.-Russia Meeting in Paris
And if I may? The Businessweek article is full of insinuation- So, I’ll cut to the chase-Kerry and Lavrov will meet in Paris and talk Ukraine today also there is a NATO training exercise taking place today & running for two weeks in Ukraine
The U.S. is participating in an annual training exercise in Ukraine with 14 other nations, according to a statement from Navy Captain Greg Hicks, a spokesman for U.S. European Command. The two-week field training exercise, which won’t include any live fire, was planned before the outbreak of hostilities in Ukraine, Hicks said. About 1,300 military personnel from North Atlantic Treaty Organization members the U.S., the U.K., Poland, Germany and Canada as well as Georgia and other countries, will take part in the exercise with Ukrainian forces near Yavoriv, Hicks saidThe exercise, dubbed Rapid Trident, in western Ukraine bordering Poland, is taking place about 1,200 kilometers (750 miles) from the fighting in Donetsk.
Trident? Like Malaysia Airlines? How about the trident used in Ukraine (Right Sector flag)? Strange or maybe not?The Businessweek article ends with this- “NATO countries have started supplying weapons to Ukraine” Yes, they have! So much for encouraging the peace? Shoring up the ceasefire? The BBC report verifies the NATO weapons shipments to Ukraine - Nato members 'start arms deliveries to Ukraine'
Nato countries have started delivering arms to Ukraine to help its soldiers fight pro-Russian separatists in the east, the defence minister says.
And this little tidbit deserves attention!
While the issue of restoring Ukraine's nuclear arsenal was not on the agenda, Mr Heletey said it would not be ruled out in future.
Guardian- Interesting article about the Azov battalionIs the plan to take the fascist battalions into Kiev? Overthrowing the "elected' government, figuratively speaking. Because the puppetmasters will still be pulling the strings
The battalion's far-right volunteers' desire to 'bring the fight to Kiev' is a danger to post-conflict stability
“But there is an increasing worry that while the Azov and other volunteer battalions might be Ukraine's most potent and reliable force on the battlefield against the separatists, they also pose the most serious threat to the Ukrainian government, and perhaps even the state, when the conflict in the east is over”
This tells us very clearly that Kiev does not control the Azov battalion. If Kiev does not control this & other such ‘volunteer’ batallions (someone is paying them) who or what controls these fighters?
“Other volunteer battalions have also come under the spotlight. This week, Amnesty International called on the Ukrainian government to investigate rights abuses and possible executions by the Aidar, another battalion."The failure to stop abuses and possible war crimes by volunteer battalions risks significantly aggravating tensions in the east of the country and undermining the proclaimed intentions of the new Ukrainian authorities to strengthen and uphold the rule of law more broadly," said Salil Shetty, Amnesty International secretary general, in Kiev”
Of course this makes the west look bad. & perception management is everythingSo, Amnesty paid some lip service to the issue then everything continues as it has beenThe future of Ukraine- A military dictatorship?
Fighters from the battalion told the Guardian last month they expected a "new revolution" in Ukraine that would bring a more decisive military leader to power, in sentiments similar to those of many Azov fighters
And while they may be a tiny minority when it comes to Ukraine as a whole, they have a lot of weapons.
They expect a new revolution in Ukraine? This tiny minority that has a whole lot of weapons. And, as luck would have it, more are being delivered to them by NATO nations
President Petro Poroshenko will be killed in a matter of months, Dmitry said, and a dictator will come to power.
Dmitry, who? Dmitry Yarosh? For all we know it could be.
"What are the police going to do? They could not do anything against the peaceful protesters on Maidan; they are hardly going to withstand armed fighting units."
InterestingWe know 'peaceful protestors' were mostly a creation of the NATO media. We know that heavily armed fighting units were very active, along with NATO snipers, at Maidan. We know that NATO is sending in more arms for these very fightersAre the fascist battalions being armed for an insurrection in Ukraine? Another overthrow? This time resulting in a military fascist leader being installed? It looks to me as if this is a definite possibility.
