Le président vénézuélien Nicolas Maduro avait annoncé au début du mois qu’il convoquerait une Assemblée Constituante pour la rédaction d’une nouvelle constitution qui remplacera celle de 1999. Dans cette annonce, Maduro prévoyait que la moitié des citoyens constituants seraient issus de la « société civile ».

(MPN) There’s no denying that Venezuela is deeply embroiled in a significant crisis. While most are aware of the country’s recent string of violent protests, food shortages and government crackdowns on opposition protesters, few are aware of the opposition’s use of underhanded and downright illegal tactics, as well as the United States’ role in funding opposition forces.

Just as it was important for the Communist world to be continuously exposed to capitalist countries that got economics right, it is instructive for the capitalist world to be exposed to at least one country that gets its economics wrong, such as Venezuela.

Venezuelans are starving due to collectivist economic policies, and they correctly blame the government. The government does exactly what collectivist government always do in such cases. It punishes its critics and rewards its supporters. [...]
