Labour’s Lost Soul: the UK and the Labour Party Leadership Election

I’ve done it, pushed out my boat on to uncharted seas and voted for Jeremy Corbyn to be leader of Britain’s Labour Party.  I thought I should do it before the notorious ‘they’ took away my chance to vote because I wasn’t a genuine Labour supporter.  I support Corbyn because of the policies he wants to push through, policies that used to represent the Labour Party.  It was what was ‘genuine’ about Labour.  But no more.

The Douma Market Attack: a Fabricated Pretext for Intervention?

It’s not about the dead, nor is it even really about Assad. It is about destroying Syria and achieving geopolitical objectives which have been thus far unattainable due to the stubborn resolve of Damascus and its military. Yet, in the MH-17 aftermath, both U.S. and European media were filled with outrage against Putin for supposedly murdering 298 innocents.

Iraq Chilcot Inquiry: Complete Whitewash of the “Tony Blair Regime”?

In spite of the erased and ruined lives in millions, the ruins of Iraq, of much of Baghdad “the Paris of the 9thcentury”, of many of historical gems that have survived assaults over millennia but not Bush and Blair, it seems likely Chilcot’s Inquiry, if it eventually appears, will prove another dead end.

Iraq Inquiry: Five Year, £10 Million Whitewash of Blair Regime?

Bereaved UK families who lost sons and daughters in the illegal invasion of Iraq have now threatened legal action against Sir John Chilcot who headed the near two year long, £10m Iraq Inquiry (30th July 2009 – 2nd February 2011) if a date for release of Inquiry findings is not announced publicly within two weeks. Further, suspicions over the reason for the approaching five years near silence from Sir John are raised by a detailed investigation by journalist Andrew Pierce.
