Yesterday’s UK election effectively spells the end of British politics as we know it. All that remains is to just catalogue the events as what is left of the British state and its constituent institutions are rapidly disassembled and the marrow picked clean. The cackling, mop-topped ghoul that is Boris Johnson is the ideal figure to preside over the death of the British State.
NHS psychologists are over-prescribing sex change treatment for children. They call it “treatment,” but in fact it’s not proven to treat anything. It’s just a baseless procedure. Allegedly, these psychologists fear being called transphobic if they don’t comply. In the last three years, 35 psychologists in London have been pressured to resign over this issue of being coerced into prescribing hormone treatment for children with gender dysphoria.
This is an appeal from the heart to all those with a vote in tomorrow’s general election. I know many people out there are angry about brexit – not only has UK not left the EU yet, there is a chance we may not leave whoever gets into power – Johnson’s deal, despite his claims, is not all it seems. The National Health Service is in crisis – few doubt it. Over 50 000 nurses have left nursing in the past 10 years. That excludes retirements, deaths and those who are struck off. Several thousand doctors have also stopped practicising medicine. Waiting times are going up and the NHS struggles to stay within is budget.
The Brexit endgame is now becoming clear – the US-UK bilateral trade deal will make Britain an economic outpost for US transnational corporate interests.

Imagine a Britain, with no NHS (US senators have already said they hope the health service in Britain will be up for grabs in any future deal), ever decreasing job security, ever rising inequality, failing education, transport, policing and other public services. All of this is a new market to be exploited. This is where the EU/US trade deal called TTIP failed. But a post-Brexit trade deal with the US will be as Jean Blaylock from the Independent says, it’s “TTIP on steroids.”
