I wouldn't assume Dave is out of the woods, but, this latest news was certainly much more positive then previous reports:So here we go! 

Heard through the grapevine that Dave is still fighting.

From the day I began this blog Dave McGowan (uberfave)  has been a constant in the sidebar of the blog. He became known to me via his appearances on Meria- the mouth that roars I can't say with any certainty how many years ago I first heard him talking up his  writings?It likely had to be around the time he published his first book -Derailing Democracy  So that was  at least 13 years ago???

Glenn Close- Raised in a Cult. Celebrity news is not my norm, however, this caught my eye!Perhaps this cult upbringing explains why she has a male name?Glenn's father, a doctor? A CIA doctor? Entirely possible. In fact I would say, definitely! She claims she was able to "break free" from cult indoctrination at 22, but, doesn't say how she managed what must have been a difficult process. She just "calmly walked away" Doubtful.The scoop-

He graduated from UCLA with a degree in psychology and has, since 1990, run a small business in the greater Los Angeles area. He is also a lifelong music fan who still frequently keeps his radio tuned to classic rock stations. McGowan’s previous books include Programmed to Kill: The Politics of Serial Murder, and Understanding the F-Word: American Fascism and the Politics of Illusion.
