"He holds a Doctorate degree in Ethnomusicology from The Ohio State University. He has taught at the Ohio State University, Capital University and the Indira Ghandi National Open University. He is the author of Trance, Ritual and Rhythm (2010), and has three books currently in press.He lectures frequently around the world on various topics including Sufism, Indian music and Music & culture of Central Asia. Hans has been imparting music lessons (both in person and online), master class/workshop/lecturer demonstrations in North Indian classical sitar & guitar, and Western jazz & blues in guitar around the world.Currently, he works as a professional musician, composer and producer. He is a Teaching Artist/Artist in Residence, Ohio Arts Council, USA and Research fellow for the Advancing Interdisciplinary Research in Singing (AIRS) project, University of Prince Edward Island, Canada"
