USAID is further expanding its role in the highly unstable Sahel region of Africa. Their efforts will be joined by the U.S. State Department, the CIA, and the neocolonialists in France and Germany. While mainstream media tries to label Vladimir Putin and Russia with the brand if new imperialism, the Anglo European cabal go all-in to capture valuable resources there.
The Sahel. Most Americans do not have the slightest clue who, what, or where this resource-rich region is. Even if every U.S. citizen did somehow identify the biogeographic zone between the Sahara and the Sudanian Savanna to the south, few would care what goes on there. Africa, in fact, ALL of the rest of the world, is just that far removed from my country’s mental map of Earth. That’s how the deep state and the corporate 1% take advantage.
Americans just play sucker when the carnival games aren’t in their own back yard. Take the U.S. government officials who testified at a congressional hearing about the deteriorating security situation in the Sahel region the other day. Whitney Baird, deputy assistant secretary for West Africa and Security Affairs at the State Department told the U.S. House Subcommittee on Africa, Global Health, Global Human Rights and International Organizations:
“The rapidly spreading instability in the Sahel threatens U.S. national security and undermines our diplomatic goals. It enables the spread of terrorism, stifles economic growth and thwarts democratic institutions.”
Needless to say, the whole dog and pony show in Washington was to get more funding and to pave the way for ensuring Mali and other countries in the region toe the line for America. I won’t delve into U.S. programs like Feed the Future, which is co-sponsored by Monsanto. We’ve covered that ground before. The Malaria issue, Bill Gates and “Pimping Big Pharma” has also been dealt with on NEO previously. What has not been covered, is the French and German governments expanding a seven-year-old neo-colonial occupation of Mali.
Currently, there are approximately 4,000 French troops stationed in Mali: There are also about 800 German soldiers operating as part of a United Nations force of over 15,000 military and police personnel there. Now, USAID and other constituents of the U.S. government aim to stabilize the puppet regime of Ibrahim Boubacar Keïta against rising opposition of the oppressed masses there. The regime is despised and has a documented record of carrying out summary executions and torture of its opponents. France is deploying drones armed with Hellfire missiles to help the regime,
The regime has its fair share of negative Human Rights Watch reports on barbarism by government forces. But the biggest problem in Mali is the shortsightedness of U.S. and European policy. The Libya affair has spread refugees and terror cells to the four winds now that Muammar Gaddafi is off the chessboard, just as the Libyan strongman predicted before his death.
Outside intervention in Mali and elsewhere in the Sahel, create the perfect conditions for extremist groups to move in. The people in Mali are dying of thirst, and will soon be starving to death on account of global warming and unceasing draught. And all the western powers can think of is controlling the vast riches beneath Mali soil. I am reminded here of something a great American writer, poet, and philosopher, once said:

The ministry of mines in the country says there are 800 tons of gold, 2 million tons of iron ore, 17,000 tons of uranium, 20 million tons of manganese, 4 million tons of lithium, and 10 million tons of limestone. Interestingly, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH has been in Mali since 1960 professing to do the same things USAID claims it’s now doing. The German Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy are there getting Mali ready for German engineering of the country’s “solar potential.” The dogma goes something like this:
“We are creating the perfect opportunity to strengthen the project development skills of your company and to set up long-term partnerships with German representatives of the solar PV sector.”
SMA Solar Technology AG has been there since before 2011 when they engineered 850 households on a solar grid. If you go down the list of German industry that can benefit from Mali, the picture of neocolonialism gets much brighter. Africa Green Tech, a company co-founded by Pne AG board member Andreas Rohardt, is also in Mali selling portable solar powerplants. Then there’s the curious case of Airbus, a Mali gold mining investment scam, and the Swiss-German connection. To save time, just Google Olivier Couriol + Airbus + Mali. But the biggest bamboozle in German-Mali relations is pretty well hidden, actually.
If you can envision a Food for Oil program orchestrated by USAID and the NATO henchmen, then Food for Uranium and key Mali resources should be easy to comprehend. This is what Germany and the Anglo-European mob are up to in the Sahel. This USAID report (PDF) outlines how Germany, the EU, Canada, and the USA plan to develop 48,000 hectares of land-under improved irrigation for an estimated cost of $236.2 million before the end of 2021. The Programme National pour l’Irrigation de Proximité (PNIP) is not something you’ll see on the front pages of the New York Times or Deutsche Welle. For further reading the book “Mali Country Study Guide Volume 1 Strategic Information and Developments” By IBP laid out what resources Mali had as of the mid-1990s, and how German Krupp, Mercedes, and other Anglo-European interests were already dividing it up. The bottom line now is, the bloodsuckers are now leveraging drought and hunger, and getting Mali citizens to pay at both ends. How’s that for a neocolonial success story?
USAID goes in, gets other NATO weasels to subsidize the fake altruism, crooked politicians gobble up the lion’s share, then vital resources are transferred while at the same time German and other outside investors profit from the economic solutions – then 40 years later Mali people are even poorer than today. It’s GENIUS! I tell you. Very, mean, nasty, and evil genius that’s been going on since Stanley and Livingston found Victoria Falls. You know, the place where all the Tarzan movies were filmed.
Oh yeah, I forgot, Americans think Africa is nothing but jungle. Read up my countrymen, Africa is a lot bigger than America, and as diverse geographically. I leave you with a poignant quote from American novelist Thomas Pynchon. It suits the current forms of colonialism going on around the world.
“Colonies are the outhouses of the European soul, where a fellow can let his pants down and relax, enjoy the smell of his own shit.”
And THIS, should be at the end of every USAID story.
