Ukraine staged the murder of journalist Arkady Babchenko, who magically appeared the day after he was reported to have been shot to death. Babchencko claimed that there was a Russian plot to kill him after he fled Russia in 2017 because he criticized Putin. Russia's foreign ministry condemned the staged assassination, calling it "obviously yet another anti-Russian provocation" that comes right on the heels of the botched assassination of former spy Skripal.
