The U.S. will likely do all it can to prevent an upcoming Syrian military offensive in Idlib, with the aim of protecting its own interests in Syria, even if it means backing a force of rebels united in their allegiance to al Qaeda.

A new study by Brown University has found that the post 9/11 wars have, when all totaled up, cost an estimated $5.9 trillion (and counting) as interest on the borrowed money continues to accrue. What did we get for our money? Safety and security? No. More threats and more wars. Was the whole thing a scam?
Time is ticking like a bomb for the American people to restore control over its southern border, and there is no good excuse for not completing this monumental project. Americans should not be cowered by accusations of ‘racism,’ when the country itself has been founded on the blood, sweat and tears of migrants throughout history.
Britain is on a cliff edge. But the other direction is not much better either. Stepping back from the plunge, the country is facing a quagmire of political infighting and self-defeating inertia.
by NoahCould Sandro Botticelli have predicted Trump when he painted The Birth Of Venus back in the late 15th century? Possibly, but that was in the midst of the Italian Renaissance, a time of progress. Still, that time certainly had way too many nasty conservatives who found plenty of sick ways to fight everything from science to humanity itself, often in the name of sociopathic religion.

The New Eastern Outlook has been covering the current shape and transformation of Sino-American relations on a regular basis. The “migrant caravan” is making its way towards the US border – and is facing countless obstacles and much opposition along the way. Most recently, protests erupted when a large group of the migrants reached the Mexican border town of Tijuana. Unsurprisingly, Donald Trump was quick to join the clamour, accusing them of causing “crime and big problems in Mexico” The Mayor[Read More...]
Read part 1, part 2, and part 3 When the Berlin Wall fell in November 1989 and the death of the Soviet Union was confirmed two years later as Boris Yeltsin courageously stood down the red army tanks in front of Moscow’s White House, a dark era in human history came to an end. The Pentagon has finally completed its first ever audit and the results are as many of us expected. After spending nearly a billion dollars to find out what has happened to trillions in unaccounted-for spending, the long look through the books has concluded that only ten percent of all Pentagon agencies pass muster. I am … Continue reading "Pentagon Fails First Audit, Neocons Demand More Spending!"
The Saudis did 9/11. Okay, probably not their government or their intelligence services directly – though there is some controversial, if circumstantial evidence that raises serious questions – but rather their citizens (15 out of 19 hijackers) and their ideology.

“Grieved by the loss of their lands, dissatisfied with reservation(aka, concentration camp)life, and ultimately brought to a condition of near starvation, the Dakota people appealed to US Indian agencies (involving ex-Minnesota governors Sibley and Ramsey) without success. By Cory Doctorow | BoingBoing | November 17, 2018 For a generation, big box stores have swept across America, using predatory pricing and other dirty tricks to kill the independent retail sector; they used their corporate lobbying muscle to tempt cities and towns into handing out massive corporate welfare checks to lure them to town, […]
This week’s program presents excerpts from two of the panels at Project Censored’s recent “Media Freedom 2.0” conference. We also look at corporate media’s misleading stereotypes of working-class Americans, with Steve Macek and Robin Andersen. Then Kashmiri journalist Ifat Gazia relates some of the atrocities committed by Indian occupation troops in Kashmir, and calls on the world to pay attention.
