The great thing about Internet archives is that they leave a data trail for anyone who wants to follow it. And while news and opinion revolves around attempt after attempt to implicate President Donald Trump for some sort of collusion or treasonous activity with President Vladimir Putin of Russia, everyone in the mainstream press (this includes Fox News) has taken advantage of – or ignored – history. The advantage taken of history is that many people remember precious little about it, especially in our times, it seems.

Reddit joins the ranks of social media platforms that are taking heat both from the government and the public over allegations that the self styled “front page of the internet” social media site was used to spread Russian propaganda to influence the 2016 Presidential election.
Reddit acknowledged on Monday that it had deleted several hundred accounts in 2015 and 2016 that were suspected of questionable activity, prompting a quest for further information from the site by the Senate Intelligence Committee.

The two pronged counter attack by the FBI and the Democrats against the allegations of misconduct and abuse on the part of the FBI set out in the GOP Memorandum continued in full force last week.
Firstly there was the flurry of further indictments from Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

Leave it to “Schiff for brains” Adam Schiff, Democratic congressman from California, to find the Kremlin’s hand behind another of America’s woes.
He is one of the prime drivers of the “Russiagate” investigation into alleged Russian meddling into the US political system, using his position as the ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee.
Now Schiff says Russian bots on Facebook have been promoting the Second Amendment to the US constitution – the one which guarantees Americans the right to “keep and bear arms.”

To hear the Western media talk, the Russian Federation has become the most powerful and influential nation on Earth. Russia can influence elections in faraway lands, and change the minds of people through Facebook ads, as long as the catering is done by a good Russian company, of course.

There were two very entertaining tweets on Sunday, courtesy of US President Donald Trump, who has been feeling quite vindicated with the result of the latest Mueller conniptions – er – indictments showing still that no collusion between Trump campaign people and agents in the Russian government ever took place.
