Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein – the man who is supervising Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russiagate investigation – has given an interview to Fox News in which he has attempted – within the limits of the duty of confidentiality that cover all such investigations – to pour cold water on the overheated reporting of the last few days.

On Friday 4th August 2017 I wrote an article for The Duran in which I discussed the various lines of enquiry that Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russiagate inquiry appears to be following.
I said that there appeared to be three main lines of enquiry.  Here is what I wrote

Early this morning the viscerally anti-Trump news media especially in Europe filled with headlines following the ‘revelation’ that Special Counsel Robert Mueller has used a Grand Jury to issue subpoenas in the Russiagate inquiry.
No European state has anything similar to a Grand Jury – Britain did away with the device long ago – and Europeans in my experience have no understanding of it.  That led to a rush of assumptions that Mueller was on the verge of bringing charges against someone.

Special counsel Robert Mueller has shifted the focus of his investigation from the now fully debunked “Russian collusion” lie, to now focus in on possible Trump “financial crimes”...crimes completely unrelated to Russia and the 2016 election.

Back in May, shortly after President Trump sacked FBI Director Comey, I wrote an article for The Duran in which I said that President Trump’s own erratic behaviour is a major reason for his problems.
Since then the President has made some wise decisions – such as getting himself some good lawyers and an accomplished Communications Director – but he persists in undermining them with other bad and extremely unwise ones.

The Mueller probe into Trump’s imaginary connection to Russia is expanding without limit or scope, moving now towards investigating Trump family past business dealings with anything and anyone Russian.
Pat Buchanan went on Fox News’ Hannity to weigh in on Mueller’s special counsel investigation that is a dangerous and open mandate, that is coming after Trump and his family.

A determined prosecutor with no accountability, time limit, or budget can prove almost anything.

The New York Times is reporting that US President Trump is asking his advisers about his power to pardon family members in connection with the the special counsel probe, as well as taking a more offensive stance against the Robert Mueller witch-hunt that is forming under the cover of the special counsel.
According to The Gateway Pundit, Trump’s aides are seeking leverage as they investigate Mueller’s investigators.
