Poland: “No Muslim Immigration Means No Terror Attacks”

Polish Minister Ryszard Czarnecki defended his country’s refusal of Muslim migrants by saying that the only proven way to reduce Islamic terror attacks is to stop Muslim mass migration into the country. He noted that the children of Islamic immigrants have been responsible for a large portion of ISIS-inspired attacks on European soil. Poland and Hungary are refusing orders from the EU to accept Muslim migrants. [...]

Trump and the EU: An especially bad relationship that is good for the world

Donald Trump has gone from Saudi Arabia where he was treated like a Sheik to Israel where Benjamin Netanyahu treated him like a kind of political Messiah.
Now though, Trump is in the less jolly European Union where he has met with EU officials ahead of a NATO summit in Belgium.
Trump had what was reportedly a less than jovial meeting with EU President Donald Tusk.

Slovakia may vote to leave NATO

An increasing number of Slovaks are opposed to the presence of NATO troops and bases in their country. A petition to withdraw Slovakia from NATO has all ready garnered 150,000 signatures. If a further 250,000 add their names to the petition, the issue of Slovakia withdrawing from NATO will go to an official referendum.
This would be an historic first as no country has democratically voted to leave NATO in the bloc’s history. The only country that has ever partly exited NATO was France when President Charles de Gaulle withdrew from the NATO Military Command Structure in 1966.

Will Emmanuel Macron break up the EU by accident?

In the recent French election, it was received wisdom, based largely on the statements from the candidates themselves, that a vote for Marine Le Pen was a vote for Euroscepticism, some even went so far as to say that Le Pen wanted to break-up the EU.
Emmanuel Macron by contrast was painted as ‘Mr. Europe’, the man who wanted to preserve the status quo with gusto.
