If somebody was a Russian puppet or Russian agent and took power in a foreign country because of Russian meddling in that country’s political systems, he would probably not have thousands of Poles shouting his name while many waved the flag of his country. But this is what happened to Donald Trump moments ago as he addressed a crowd of politicians and civilians in central Warsaw.
Donald Trump’s press conference with Polish President Andrzej Duda turned to Russiagate as a US journalist tried to pound Trump on the Russia issue while inside Europe’s presently and historically most anti-Russian country. Clearly there was an attempt to stir tensions unnecessarily on the part of the reporter.
A Deputy of the Russian State Duma, Nikolay Kharitonov of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, has proposed that Russia should sever all diplomatic and trading ties with Poland after the Polish Sejm (parliament) passed into a law, a bill proposing that Poland demolish the Soviet war memorials which dot the country as a tribute to the fallen soldiers of the Soviet Army who fought to liberate Poland from the fascist German conquerors.
The talk of the week is the upcoming meeting between Presidents Trump and Putin on the sidelines of the G20 conference this Friday.
Let’s be honest. The only reason anyone in the West, perhaps with the exception of Germans, is interested in the Ukraine is because since the current state was carved out of the Russian Empire, the Austrian Empire and the Kingdom of Poland following the Great War, it has been the focus of attacks on the Soviet Union and the Russian Federation. The number of states or countries where political instability is aggravated by ethnic, religious or nationality conflicts is great. The number of places that draw attention or better said are targeted for mass media attention is far smaller.

Russiagate is fundamentally about two things and neither have anything to do with anyone in the American elite actually believing that Russia had any impact on the US election whatsoever. Those who say that Russia had an influence on the US election are merely providing the bread and circuses to distract the attention of the wider world, including many in Russia from the actual motivation driving the seemingly never-ending scandal.

The Soviet Army liberated Poland after years of brutal Nazi occupation beginning in 1939. This is a fact of history seemingly lost on modern Polish politicians. Soviet war memorials appear in many countries where the Red Army helped to liberate occupied lands from the fascist aggressors. Poland is attempting to resurrect a dangerous plan from the early 20th century in order to attain more influence in Europe.
