The Ochelli Effect – Interactions Between Organisms

From Ochelli.com
We speak in the first hour with long-time-listener Regular Joe. It is somewhat troublesome to attempt a conversation with a Trump supporter. Joe and family go to the dentist and find that families are strangers next to each other. It is often a good thing to unplug. Joe also gives tips on how to avoid a pointless conversation feedback loop. Social media may be video games designed for people with no skills.

Nikki Haley: Damn the UN Human Rights Council and the Rest of You Too

On Tuesday, June 19, UN Ambassador Nikki Haley announced US withdrawal from the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) now meeting in Geneva. The UNHRC is stacked with human rights abusers including Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, and, till now, the US itself, but this is still an ugly gesture, like refusing to accept the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court, ditching the Paris Climate Accords, and shredding the Iran Nuclear Deal. Who gives a damn what the world thinks of us? We are good!

US Quits UN Human Rights Council

(MEE) — The United States withdrew from the United Nations Human Rights Council on Tuesday accusing it of a “chronic bias against Israel,” a move that activists warned would make advancing human rights globally even more difficult. US ambassador to the UN Haley slammed Russia, China, Cuba and Egypt for thwarting US efforts to alter the council. […]

UN resolution slams Israeli murder of Palestinians in Gaza

A resolution has passed in the UN General Assembly slamming Israel’s use of ‘excessive force’ against Palestinian protesters during their Great March of Return in Gaza, with more than 130 killed and thousands injured.
Many of the protesters were unarmed but encountered live ammunition from Israeli snipers. Victims included journalists and first aid responders, who were well marked but were targeted and slaughtered anyway.

Europe and the U.S.: An Era of Mutual Indignation

On December 21, 2017 the United Nations General Assembly rejected the Trump administration’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital by a 128-9 vote. The only countries to side with Israel and the U.S. were Guatemala, Honduras, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Nauru, Palau, and for good balance, Togo. (The West African country’s President Gnassingbe benefiting from Israeli aid gushes about “Israel coming back to Africa, and Africa coming back to Israel.”)

Trump’s deal-making skills have just scored him another defeat

On June 12, United States President Donald J. Trump was supposed to be the first POTUS to get the Korean leadership to sit down at the table of a possible peace treaty and nuclear disarmament. Getting this far into the process has been viewed as historic and unprecedented, which, in a way, it truly is, but has been somewhat of a rocky road and not entirely due to foreign parties.

‘You Signed Off on Genocide’: Student Protesters Slam Nikki Haley Over Palestine

(MEMO) — Nikki Haley, the United States’ ambassador to the United Nations, had her speech interrupted and heckled by pro-Palestine student activists at the University of Houston, Texas, on Tuesday afternoon. As she began her speech by saying “I’m here today following a very busy few weeks in American foreign policy,” a student activist stood up and shouted: “Nikki […]

US Praises Israel, Blocks UN Call for Investigation Into the Killing of 61 Palestinians

(ANTIWAR.COM) — The United States has used its veto power at the UN Security Council to block a Monday resolution calling for an independent probe into the killing of scores of Palestinian protesters this week along the Gaza Strip border. The protesters were killed by Israeli forces. It is very common for the US to use its veto power […]
