BREAKING: Russia’s FSB arrests ISIS terrorists plotting to bomb Moscow transport

The west has long practised the faulty doctrine of ‘the enemy of my enemy is my friend’. It is what led the US, UK, France and West Germany to arm Ba’athist Iraq in the 1980s, a traditional Soviet ally, against the newly formed Islamic Republic of Iran. Of course, when the Iraq that the west armed engaged in a dispute with Kuwait, a British puppet state in virtually all but name, Iraq was back on the list of ‘enemies’ and it remained there until the US and UK destroyed the Ba’athist government in Iraq, plunging the once prosperous country into total civil war in 2003.

4 reasons ‘love and acceptance’ doesn’t win the war against terrorism

After a devastating terrorist atrocity, people are understandably shaken, frightened and confused. Anger, sadness and fear are what terrorists seek to inspire and it is no surprise that when a bomb successfully kills and disfigures innocent civilians, the living are fraught with emotion. This cannot be changed for the same reason that human nature cannot ever be changed.
However, some try to change it using self-righteous platitudes which they themselves would likely not believe if they or someone they knew was the victim of a terrorist atrocity.

‘Islamophobia’ is a fake piece of lexicon used to sell fake news

For nearly 20 years, the term Islamophobia has been an omnipresent term in the western lexicon. The term is generally used to imply non-Muslims of various European ethnic backgrounds having a profound fear of Islam and Muslims.
But just as there is fake news, there is also a fake lexicon to accompany it. The entire notion of Islamophobia as defined and intellectually proliferated in the west, even by those who do not hate anything about Islam, is a dangerous canard.

Islam, ISIS & Buzzfeed: What You’re Not Being Told

MINNEAPOLIS — We hear it every day: “Why aren’t Muslims speaking up against terrorism?” “Where are the Muslims denouncing ISIS?”

Counteracting ‘Daesh’: Lessons from Paris

As Baghdad reels from a wave of suicide bombings claimed by Islamist extremists which have killed and wounded over 400 in the past week, there are lessons to be learned from how the media deals with these terror attacks – whether they are in the Middle East or in the heart of Europe.
Semantics and social media narratives are crucial battlegrounds in the war against terrorism.
