During the early hours of Thursday morning (6th February 2020) Israel began a bombing campaign in Damascus and to the south in Daraa which lasted 45 minutes. The first huge explosion woke me up in West Damascus which was the first area to be targeted.

I filmed him speaking to me and I will be publishing soon but I wanted to share this photo of Hisham - I hope it haunts everyone who believes war will bring peace or that we, in the West, have some kind of monopoly over "humanitarianism" because what we have done to #Syria is a hellish vision of what Humanity should be.

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said in a speech on February 5th to his AKP islamist Party, that if Syrian troops or Russian planes attack Al Qaeda in Syria’s Idlib Province, then Turkey will be at war against Syria and Russia. If that happens, then Turkey, as a member of the NATO alliance, could call in U.S. and allied forces to join Turkey’s war against Syria and against Russia, in that part of Syria.

This makes the full liberated area in Idilb countryside since the 20th of January 2020 around 660 sq km and puts a new Turkish observation point under siege (Map 3), noting that the General Command of the Army and Armed Forces announced the liberation of 320 sq km less than two months ago .

Over the last few months, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its Russian allies have been advancing into the heart of Idlib province – the last remaining terrorist stronghold in Syria. Not everyone is happy about the effort by Damascus to retake is own territorial areas in the north, not least of all Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who is now threatening the SAA and its allies with military force if they continue with operations to dislodge Turkish and US-backed terrorist forces currently holed up in Idlib, and neighboring Afrin.

The Battle for Idlib saw a key militant stronghold fall yesterday, as Syrian Army forces stormed the Idlib town of Maarat al-Numan, pushing the HTS/Al-Nusra terrorist brigades into a retreat position, further north towards the Turkish border.
This important strategic advance will give Damascus addition leverage towards securing the all-important International Road which links Aleppo to Damascus, and also to free up addition resources push harder against militants encamped in the western Aleppo countryside.
