The Worst Democrat In Congress Is, I'm Sorry To Report, A Woman

Not second worst or third worstThe worst Democrat in Congress, chair of the Blue Dogs, is Kyrsten Sinema. Kyrsten is a woman. Of the 78 Democrats rated "F" by ProgressivePunch 15 are women. Any list of the worst Democrats in the House would have to include, Kyrsten Sinema, of course, as well as Stephanie Murphy (Blue Dog-FL), Cheri Bustos (Blue Dog-IL), Jacky Rosen (NV), and Kathleen Rice (New Dem-NY).

Subscriber Podcast #19 – The Politics of Eurovision

For decades the Eurovision Song Contest has been a platform for projecting soft power and engaging in cultural warfare.  In this month’s subscriber-only podcast I look at how Eurovision entries have been used for propaganda and have been subject to political censorship. I discuss this year’s winning entry – which purports to be an anthem […](Read more...)

Did Russia originate the #MeToo movement to take down ‘great’ American men?

It seems that Russia has been up to a whole lot more than just hacking elections and poisoning traitorous spies, it’s using cultural marxism to take down some of America’s “great” men, apparently.
A British Russiagate conspiracy theorist, Louise Mensch, who used to be one of the British Parliament’s finest has tweeted out that the Russians are behind the #MeToo movement to take down America’s powerful men.
In this case, it’s Eric Schneiderman, the New York Attorney General who is supposed to investigate the Mueller probe, and we can’t have that, can we? Mensch tweeted:

ClandesTime 139 – The Politics of Star Wars

This week I review the most recent Star Wars film The Last Jedi and analyse its politics. I discuss its anti-war and progressive tokenism, and why this is ultimately undermined by being symbolic, and not narrative-based.  None of the ‘progressive’ character moments or dialogue in the film have any meaningful consequences for the plot, rendering […](Read more...)

Why Aren't There More Women Of Color In Congress?

This is not-- nor will it ever be-- Joe CrowleyIf you follow this blog at all, you probably know, this is a place where identity group politics gets short shrift. We believe, strongly, that the best candidate should be supported, regardless of race, religion, gender, etc. That said, there are 435 members of the House and my guess is that if the best candidate was elected, at least 217 would be women, but probably more than that.

Does anyone get the irony here?

This is like one of those “a guy walks into a bar…” jokes. Really. Last night on one of America’s most venerable news magazine programs, “60 Minutes”, CNN’s Anderson Cooper interviewed Stephanie Clifford, a.k.a. “Stormy Daniels” for the purpose of getting the dirt on her affair with President Donald Trump. This affair reportedly took place in 2006.

New York’s Cardinal Timothy Dolan notes that Democrats have abandoned Roman Catholics

Timothy Dolan is the Roman Catholic Archbishop (and Cardinal) who oversees the Roman Church in New York City. He has served there in this post since 2009, and his total time of official service to the Roman Catholic Church goes all the back at least as far as the time of his ordination to the priesthood in 1976. In his time of service he has seen many changes in the United States, both in terms of its social and religious attitudes and the stance of its political parties.

Traditionalist British speech met with violence, police faulting anti-Islam rhetoric [VIDEO]

England portrays itself as a free nation, where freedom of speech, expression and the like are highly regarded and valued. However, in recent times, this high regard for expression and speech comes to a halt if one is trying to uphold Christianity and traditional Christian-based ideas on life. In London, this is becoming a memory as the simultaneous de-Christianization of regular British people and the increasing population of Muslims as immigrants both take place.

Hillary Clinton: Blame the men!

Wonders never cease. Never in history has fame been so stringently pulled from the jaws of failure – at least not in personal memory. Hillary Rodham Clinton continues to make news (even here) with the amazing scope of irresponsibility she displays for why she lost the 2016 election campaign.
To briefly recap the going list of reasons she was “blocked” from winning the Presidency:
