Just a reminder for those who haven’t done so already, the White House petition calling on President Obama to preemptively pardon leaker Edward Snowden is still a little short of its goal. In the mid-1970s I was working in the Kosmos, Amsterdam's meditation center, and I hadn't figured out I was gay yet. I was in love with this beautiful Dutch woman who was one of the directors of the center. I was kind of shy but asked her out on a date. The International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN) welcomes President Obama’s announcement in Berlin today calling for a world without nuclear weapons and the readiness to pursue further reductions in the US and Russian nuclear arsenals. However, the humanitarian consequences of any nuclear weapon use, increasingly the focus of global engagement on these weapons, demands their prohibition and elimination.
Chief Justice John Roberts has been accused of breaking the tie and voting with the liberals to approve Obamacare due to NSA wiretaps. He has now voted to destroy America by allowing illegal aliens to vote 2, 3 or even 5 or 6 times in American elections. OKLAHOMA CITY – A state lawmaker will lead an anti-war rally on the south steps of the Oklahoma State Capitol at 7 p.m. Friday, July 12. The public is invited.
The rally’s theme is “Not Our War!” and will be held to reflect the views of those who oppose U.S. intervention in the Syrian civil war, state Rep. Paul Wesselhöft said.

Just before the brutal crackdown in central Istanbul by Recep Tayyip Erdogan's authoritarian regime in Turkey, Vision of Humanity released their 7th annual Global Peace Index, showing that Europe is the most peaceful region, with 13 of the top 20 most peaceful countries. I guess the violence in Gezi Park will bring that average down for 2014. Overall, the Global Peace Index shows that the world has become less peaceful, with a sharp rise in the number of homicides.
