Army Europe commander visits Combined Resolve IV

HOHENFELS, Germany: Lt. Gen. Ben Hodges, commanding general, Army Europe, visited the training area, here, to observe Exercise Combined Resolve IV, May 31.
The focus of the visit was to engage with Joint Multinational Readiness Center senior traininers (TEAM 07) and multinational troops on the ground, participating in the exercise.
During a discussion with Joint Multinational Training Command and JMRC leadership, as well as with the senior trainers, Hodges was briefed on the interoperability achievements and challenges experienced during Combined Resolve.
Hodges also completed a battlefield circulation with senior trainers and visited Soldiers from the support battalion and rotational aviation unit who are participating in the exercise.
Combined Resolve is a series of bi-annual U.S. Army Europe exercises designed to train participants to function together in a multinational and integrated environment and to train U.S. Army rotational forces in Europe to be more flexible, agile and better able to operate alongside allies and partners in the region. Combined Resolve IV began May 1 and continues through June 26.
Combined Resolve IV features more than 4,700 participants from 10 NATO allies including Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Italy, Latvia, Romania, Slovenia, the United States, and three partner nations of Moldova, Montenegro and Serbia.
