Maximum age of Ukrainians able for military service goes up to 60
The Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada has increased the maximum permissible age of soldiers, sergeants and petty officers to 60. The top age for senior officers is 65.
The bill adjusting article 28 of the Ukrainian Law “On Military Duty and Military Service” dedicated to reservists and their maximum age was approved by 232 out of 242 deputies present at the session.

Verkhovna Rada approves Poroshenko’s partial mobilization decree
The Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada has passed a bill endorsing the “Partial Mobilization” decree of President Petro Poroshenko by 232 votes.
The bill approved on Tuesday takes effect on the day of publication.
Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council Secretary Andriy Parubiy who introduced the bill said the third phase of partial mobilization “would mobilize extra 15 combat units and 44 combat support units.”
