Oregon Sheriff Threatens to Arrest Man for Recording Video of Deputy Berating Girl

Embarrassed over a deputy’s comments made to a 14-year-old girl while arresting her Saturday, Oregon sheriff’s deputies are now threatening to arrest the man who recorded the video.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is claiming Darren Hall violated the state’s wiretapping law when he stepped outside his apartment, stood on some stairs and recorded the deputy berating the girl for having argued with her mother over the girl’s use of makeup.

Texas Cops Call Helicopter on PINAC Correspondent for Recording on Sidewalk

Texas cops called a helicopter on PINAC correspondent Phillip Turner for recording the Texas Department of Public Safety building from a public sidewalk, later accusing him of having scouts spying on them in the bushes and possibly planting explosives.
“It’s not cheap to fly these helicopters. It’s amazing they responded this way,” said Turner.
Video footage from the air, obtained by Turner through a public records request, shows a helicopter circling him as he recorded footage of the building from a public sidewalk.

Georgia Cop Fails to Intimidate PINAC Reporter into Handing Over ID for Recording Police in Public (Updated)

PINAC reporter Jeff Gray was enjoying some traveling with his family in central Georgia when he decided to slip away to conduct a seatbelt audit on the Warner Robins Police Department, which is where he stands on public property outside the department to record officers as they drive away to see if they are wearing seat belts.
After all, not only does state law require all drivers to wear seat belts, most law enforcement agencies, including this one, have departmental policies also requiring the use of seat belts.

A video recently uploaded to Facebook shows Texas deputies responding to a call about males fighting in the parking lot of a Whataburger burger joint and then arresting a pair of female teenagers inside who had nothing to do with the fight.
Bexar County sheriff’s deputies arrested one girl as she was sitting down to a meal of chicken strips and fries, throwing her food on the floor.
They then arrested her friend after she walked up and placed a hat on her handcuffed friend’s head.

Oklahoma Cop Says, “We Can Spin It,” After They Pepper Spray 84-year-old Woman (Updated)

In the ensuing moments after Oklahoma police pepper sprayed an 84-year-old woman after kicking her door down without a warrant to arrest her son for running a stop sign, one cop tells another cop that “we can spin it” in order to justify their questionable tactics.
But Muskogee police are having a tough time spinning the incident considering it was all caught on body cam video.

Texas Cop Unlawfully Handcuffs PINAC Correspondent Before Secretly Scanning his Fingerprints

A Texas cop illegally detained and handcuffed a PINAC correspondent for video recording before secretly scanning his fingerprints on a portable device without his consent while his hands were cuffed behind his back.
Now the Harris County Constable’s Office is refusing to provide PINAC details on this mysterious device that was used to scan David Warden’s fingerprints without his permission.
The incident took place on August 17 as Warden was conducting a First Amendment audit from a public sidewalk outside a chemical plant in Houston.

The three off-duty Chicago cops were apparently drunk when Obed “OJ” DeLeon walked into a taco joint late one night and began complaining about a driver who had left a Camaro blocking the entrance to the parking lot.
“Yeah, that guy’s an asshole for parking like that,” DeLeon told another two men he did not know, whom were also waiting in line to place an order.
Overhearing DeLeon’s comments was the owner of the car, Jason Orsa, one of the three cops sitting at a nearby table with a fourth friend.
“What if I’m an asshole?” Orsa replied.

Indiana cops shot and killed a man with a knife, claiming he was “advancing” towards them, making them fear for their lives.
But a body cam video shows the man holding holding his hands up, then taking two steps forward and stopping about 30 feet away from the officers, who were positioned behind their cars.
Daniel Wooters then pointed at them, possibly with the knife in his hand but it’s difficult to tell in the video.
And that was when three Evansville police officers fired 11 shots at the man.
