One potentially positive outcome from Monday’s Trump-Putin Summit in Helsinki, Finland was a clear signal that both leaders have talked about cooperating in Syria, rather than treating each other as geopolitical adversaries at the expense of Syria’s own welfare.

This episode aired LIVE on UKC approximately 3 hours before the Trump-Putin press conference began in Helsinki. 21WIRE’s Patrick Henningsen was correct in predicting Trump’s half-hearted gas play probing for a stake in Germany’s energy security requirements by making the weak offer of subsidized US-fracked LNG – hardly a match for the Nord Stream 2 pipeline. This latest report indicates Israel used its ‘Iranian-linked’ proviso to attack Syria once again – and likely the third airstrike on the country in the past week.

Update: It’s now being reported that at least 22 people have been killed in the attack.

This morning, Syrian Army vehicles, flanked by Russian military police, entered the southern Syrian city of Daraa, and proceeded to raise the Syrian flag over an area previously held for years by radical Islamist ‘rebels’ and known terrorist factions.
