The Trudeau government - As they force through new gun laws that go so far as to require changes to the criminal code in Canada. Perhaps even employing a prorogue? Making it more difficult to be a lawful gun owner. While ensuring the existence or even increase of criminal gun ownership. This same gun grabbing government has no problems sending sniper rifles over to the Ukraine.
The sanctions against Turkey have been coming for a long time now. They are the next step in the war that has long been waged against Turkey.Notice I said the next step? Not the first step? Following the 10th BRICS summit, which was held in Johannesburg, South Africa between July 25-27, the Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has expressed his hope that Turkey will be accepted into the bloc. Erdogan pointed out that the bloc has expressed its willingness to expand its membership, and that with Turkey already being a part of the G20 alongside the BRICS countries, that a platform of cooperation to some degree is already present, and that since the BRICS countries are not opposed to the accession of Turkey, that he wishes they will soon permit it so.
At a press conferences in Syria’s capital of Damascus, the Chinese Special Envoy for Syria, Xie Xiaoyon, furthered China’s call for the unity and territorial integrity of Syria. He declared that China opposes as division of Syria’s territory as part of a political solution to end the seven year long conflict. In addition, he noted that the country has experienced a great degree of damage both in the way of its land and people, and therefore calls on the international community to step up and provide more assistance to the war torn Middle Eastern country.

Yup, I watched and took notes.Trump was, surprisingly, diplomatic. Well spoken. Not verbose or brash.Putin, via a translator, was his usual self. Which means he spoke much as he does, every time I’ve watched/listened to him speak previously- Putin and Trump were both pragmatic. Putin spoke of first steps. Fine tuning dialogue.Apparently the START treaty was discussed. IMF.
My thoughts? Like any/every other dog and pony show this alleged summit is going to be all show and no substance at all!The NGO's will steal the day. They've got protests all ready to go. They'll get the majority of the news coverage. They'll blather on about human rights etc., All of it meaningless of course, but, it's what NGO's exist to do! Trump and Putin will be derided.
