Gulf States Seek Normalized Relations With Israel Ahead Of Trump Visit

Numerous Gulf states have offered to a deal to normalize relations with Israel if Tel Aviv takes steps to restart peace talks with the Palestinians, according to reports.
The offer to normalize relations come a week before Donald Trump visits Saudi Arabia and Israel on his first foreign trip as US president.

Israel has dismissed concerns in the United States over plans to relocate the US embassy to Jerusalem, saying the contentious issue would advance the peace process with the Palestinians, not harm it.
US President Donald Trump had promised during his campaign to move the American embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
But there has been no concrete movement on that pledge so far.

US President Donald Trump complained on Thursday that US ally Saudi Arabia was not treating the United States fairly and Washington was losing a “tremendous amount of money” defending the kingdom.

Israel Approves Construction Of 212 New Settlement Units In Jerusalem

The Israeli Planning and Construction Committee has approved the construction of 212 new settlement units in Pisgat Ze’ev and Ramat Shlomo settlements in the occupied city of Jerusalem.
The Israeli army radio said the project is part of a “large settlement plan to be implemented during the new US administration era”.
