Epps was documented telling individuals “we need to go into the Capitol” on Jan. 5th and, “We’re here to storm the capitol,” on Jan. 6th. He also texted this to his nephew: “I was in the front with a few others. I also orchestrated it." The DOJ claims they gave him a plea deal because he cooperated with the FBI.

Maine is the second state after Colorado to bar former President Donald Trump from appearing on its 2024 Republican presidential primary ballot.  Both Colorado and Maine claim that the “insurrectionist ban" in the 14th Amendment of the US Constitution applies to Trump and the attack on the US Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.

Ray Epps was recorded on video numerous times calling for people to enter the Capitol building. Epps was charged two and a half years after the protest at the Capitol with a class A misdemeanor for disorderly conduct on restricted grounds; he pleaded guilty. He will be sentenced on December 20, 2023.

The DOJ informed Matthew that they would seek a terrorism enhancement to his sentencing AFTER he pleaded guilty, which would raise his sentence by a potential 5 to 7 more years in federal prison. Four days after receiving the news, Matthew went into his garage, put a rope around his neck, and hung himself.

As previous footage has shown in many cases, police instigated the infamous Capitol riot by firing rubber bullets at otherwise peaceful protesters, which is also why the tapes were withheld. Critics are calling for the J6 committee to be investigated, censured, expelled and even jailed for lying to the public.

Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene is now calling for Bowman to be prosecuted and says that he violated the same law, interfering with an official proceeding, that January 6 defendants were prosecuted.
