A “color revolution” is a media term for a movement based on legitimate grievances only to be co-opted into a regime change operation backed by the US and confederates. There have been so many – Georgia in 2003, Ukraine in 2004, Kyrgyzstan in 2005 – that they have run out of colors. Belarus is amidst the “slipper” color revolution.
 

NATO in the Baltic States is on alert

Political situation in Belarus has made its nieghbouring countries nervous. Though the relationship between Belarus and the Baltic States are still neutral, some tension has been present for the last decades. The countries willingly trade and cooperate in the field of culture, but the development of their security systems and armed forces go in opposite directions. The Baltic States have been relying on NATO while Belarus cooperates with Russia.

Lithuanians are afraid to serve in the army

In 2015 the Lithuanian army reintroduced compulsory military service due to the potential threat caused by the Russia.
Young Lithuanians try to avoid the service. Some of them even are not afraid of penalties and imprisonment.
It is well known that Lithuanian authorities intend to increase the number of servicemen of the Lithuanian Armed Forces by 25%. From 2020, it is planned that their number will increase from 20,790 to 26,850 by 2024.
