(ANTIMEDIA) An Israeli minister called for the assassination of Syrian president Bashar al-Assad on Tuesday, claiming Assad “does not have a place in this world,” the Times of Israel reported.

(ANTIWAR.COM) Israeli Housing Minister Yoav Galant, of the Kulanu Party, yesterday declared that US claims that Syria’s government has built a crematorium to dispose of executed prisoners, a fact Syria denies, means “the time has come to assassinate Assad.” He went on to liken Assad’s Syria to Nazi Germany.

(ANTIMEDIA Op-Ed) The U.S. has long asserted itself as a peacemaker in the ongoing war in Syria, attempting to paint the country’s president, Bashar al-Assad, as the root cause of the conflict. At the same time, the United States government maintains that peace would be impossible without American interference, which, of course, comes with the added aim of ousting Assad.

(ANTIMEDIA) The BBC reportedly has exclusive proof that the Syrian government is continuing to produce chemical weapons in violation of a deal reached in 2013. Pursuant to that deal, the Syrian government was supposed to remove its entire stockpile, which the U.N. said had already been achieved in 2014.
