Yatsenyuk: Ukraine is the only country waging war with Russia’s regular army

KYIV: The Ukrainian people are now waging a real war against the regular troops of the Russian Federation, defending not only their territory, but also the international order that was established after World War II.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said this speaking at the Global Forum of the American Jewish Committee in Washington on Monday, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
“We are facing a real war against Russia. Ukraine is the only country in the world that is waging war with the Russian regular army,” Yatsenyuk said.
He recalled that Russia had illegally annexed Crimea, introduced a severe pressure on the freedoms and rights of the Crimean Tatars, and after that “Russian-backed terrorists and Russian troops invaded Donetsk and Luhansk,” and began to intimidate the whole world.
“Ukraine protects not only itself, we are defending Europe, we are defending the international law and international order,” the head of the Ukrainian government said.
