Transatlantic solidarity among preconditions for settling Donbas crisis – Ukrainian foreign minister
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin discussed the situation in Donbas and the provision of U.S. military aid to Ukraine at a meeting with U.S. congressmen on Tuesday, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reported on Tuesday following the meeting.
“Most of attention was given to the discussion of the situation in Donbas and the provision of U.S. military aid to our country to counter Russian aggression. The parties agreed that transatlantic solidarity is a key precondition for the soonest possible settlement of the conflict in Donbas,” the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said.
Taking part in the meeting with Klimkin were members of the U.S. House of Representatives Joe Wilson, Reid Ribble, and Madeleine Bordallo from the House’s Armed Services and Foreign Affairs Committees.

Five Ukrainian soldiers killed in Donbas conflict zone in past 24 hours
KYIV: During the last day five Ukrainian soldiers have been killed, another 12 have been wounded in the area of the anti-terrorist operation in Donbas as a result of hostilities and military clashes with Russian mercenaries.
Spokesman for the Presidential Administration on the anti-terrorist operation, Colonel Andriy Lysenko said this at a briefing in Kyiv on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
“Over the past day we have lost five our soldiers, another 12 were injured as a result of hostilities and military clashes,” he said.
ATO forces near the town of Avdiyivka, where APC of Ukrainian Armed Forces drove over a land mine, suffered the heaviest losses.
