Ukraine: Georgian Troops To Participate In Two-Week NATO Military Exercise

Georgian Platoon to engage in the Exercise “Rapid Trident”

On 13-27 September annual international exercise “Rapid Trident” will be conducted in Ukraine, at the training ground Yavoriv in the vicinity of Lviv. NATO member nations and the countries represented in the “Partnership for Peace (PFP) format will engage in the training.
I Infantry Brigade Platoon of GAF will take part in the training too. Along with the Georgian military, around 1000 servicemen from 15 countries will participate in the international exercise, including the military (200 servicemen) from the United States, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, UK, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Rumania and Spain.
According to the training scenario, multi-national brigade will have to operate against unlawful armed formations with combine forces.
