Baku: The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry has released a statement on reports that NATO warplanes are using Azerbaijani territories for refueling to launch air strikes against separatists in Ukraine.
The Defense Ministry’s press service told APA that reports spread by some mass media outlets that NATO warplanes are using aerodromes of different countries, including Azerbaijan, for refueling in order to launch air strikes on separatists in Ukraine do not lean on any facts and are groundless, and this kind of information is just a provocation.
Note that, some websites reported yesterday citing U.S., Moldovan and Russian sources that fighter-bomber warplanes launching attacks on civilian targets had been recorded flying to aerodromes in Azerbaijan, Romania, and Moldova and, that those aircrafts were refueled at Azerbaijani aerodromes.
