NATO Strengthens Ties With Bahrain

State Minister for Defence meets NATO Deputy Secretary-General
Manama: Minister of State for Defence Affairs, Lieutenant-General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa met on Sunday with Ambassador Alexander Vershbow the Deputy Secretary-General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and his accompanying delegation currently visiting the Kingdom of Bahrain to participate at the Manama Dialogue Forum2013 on Regional Security.
The Minister of State for Defence Affairs welcomed the NATO Deputy Secretary-General, praising excellent amicable relations between Bahrain and NATO, and lauded current coordination between the two sides that serves common interests and security and stability in the region .
The two sides explored themes of Manama Dialogue2013 which benefit all countries of the region and defines scopes for constructive and objective dialogue and also discussed several topics of common interest.
The meeting was attended by the Director of BDF Planning, Organization and Technology Directorate, (Naval) Major-General Yusuf Mal-Allah, and the delegation accompanying the NATO Deputy Secretary-General.
