Visit of National War College Delegation

National War College delegation pays a visit to Georgia. Today First Deputy Defence Minister Gocha Ratiani and Chief of General Staff of the GAF, Major General Vakhtang Kapanadze hosted the U.S. delegation. CDA Nicholas Berliner and Marine Attaché, Lt Col Rich Brady attended the meeting as well.
The instructors and graduates of National War College received information about security strategy of Georgia and its regional importance. Major General Vakhtang Kapanadze introduced the guests ongoing and planned reforms in the MoD. The sides also referred to the implementation issues of NATO-Georgian Substantial Package. U.S.-Georgia bilateral cooperation issues and the importance of support from the partner countries were outlined at the meeting as well. The sides discussed prospects of future cooperation with National War College. The members of U.S. delegation got detailed information the topics they were interested in.
Four Georgians graduated National War College, including First deputy Defence Minister Gocha Ratiani and Chief of General Staff of the Georgian Armed Forces, Major General Vakhtang Kapanadze. Currently, Colonel Zaza Japaridze is getting education in National War College.
