Rand Paul was tackled from behind by his leftist neighbor, Rene Boucher, and suffered six broken ribs, including three displaced fractures and recurrent pneumonia. Boucher was sentenced to 30 days in jail for the assault. A Kentucky jury awarded Paul $580,000 for damages and medical expenses.
