Israeli soldiers stormed internet cafés in occupied East Jerusalem and arrested 25 for “incitement against the Israeli army”.

nsnbc , – On the evening of Wednesday, 6 November, soldiers of Israels occupation forces in East Jerusalem stormed several internet cafés. The operation was intended to crack down on Palestinian activists who use social media networks and social media sites to inform the international community about, and to oppose the illegal occupation of Palestine.
The crackdown resulted in the arrest of 25 young Palestinians who allegedly were activists, who according to Israeli sources, used social media to incite against the Israeli army.
Some of the themes that have dominated the discourse over the recent days is the possible collapse of direct talks between the Israeli government and the Palestinian Authority as well as the results of the Swiss forensic expert’s report which indicates, that the late Palestinian leader, Yassir Arafat, has been poisoned with polonium. The latest round of direct talks between Palestine and Israel collapsed in a crisis after Israel announced its true intentions, to permanently annex East Jerusalem and the Jordan Valley.
There is a growing atmosphere of resentment among young Palestinian activists, not only with Israel as the occupying power, but also with the Palestinian Authority who is by many perceived as being corrupted and co-opted by Western interests and not representative of the culture of resistance against the more than six decades long, illegal occupation.
The International Middle East Media Center, IMEMC, quotes the head of the Jerusalem office of the Palestinian Prisoner Society, Abu Qous, as saying that the soldiers invaded a large number of internet coffee shops and computer stores in the occupied city, searching the premises and arresting 25. Qous reportedly added, that fifteen have been released, while the remaining ten will be sent to the District Court in Jerusalem, to be charged with incitement against the army.
