Interview 692 – Nile Bowie on the Trans-Pacific Partnership and Cyberwar

Photojournalist and roving correspondent Nile Bowie joins us today from his home base in Kuala Lumpur, which is getting set to host the next round of talks in the highly-secretive Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal. We talk about Bowie’s work exposing the TPP and its secrecy, the worrying provisions contained in the deal as it stands, and the wave of opposition that is rising up against it in many of the signatory countries where it remains deeply unpopular. We also discuss the latest on the Snowden case and how that plays into the larger cyberwar between the US and China.
