Georgian Company Returned to Homeland from Africa

Combined Company of the 22nd Battalion of the II Infantry Brigade of the GAF has fully returned to homeland. 142 military servicemen arrived in Georgia this morning.
Deputy Chief of General Staff of GAF, Colonel Roman Jokhadze, Commander of Western Command of the Land Forces, Colonel Mikheil Sadunishvili and Sergeant Major of the GAF, Beso Khatiashvili greeted the peacekeepers at the Alekseevka airport. They congratulated the soldiers on peaceful returning to homeland and successful fulfillment of the mission.
The Georgian military carried out the peacekeeping mission in the capital city of Bangui of the Republic of Central Africa under the French command for 6 months. The main goal of the combined company was to insure security and stabilization of the situation. The Georgian soldiers were also conducting patrolling the area in the vicinity of the airport.
Soldiers of the 22nd Battalion are replaced by the military personnel of the 23rd Battalion of II Infantry Brigade.
